A bit silly. Band decision and I dont know why. More songs? No idea really. But today it was clear that it afffects Axl's room for breathing and performance. Popular Post KeyserSoze
i wonder if Axl and the gang knew Tommy was there since he was just roaming the seated area... come to think of it, i wonder if Tommy knew he was there
Popular Post XxXgunsXxX
I was at the show. First section, third row, right of the stage. Very humid and dry out tonight. I thought the band and Axl sounded great. Out door shows are always tough to judge in my opinion. Axl was tough to hear s few times, but I think that was more of a mix/sound issue. Frank's drums were soft at times and Axl in between songs seemed to be drowned out by the crowd. Just my take. Definitely worth the money and drive. Now onto Chicago we go!
Popular Post parisrocks
When Axl points and smiles at the end of Chinese Democracy from center stage, it's at my son, River, who is holding up a sign that says "Even With An Iron Fist"! Best night of his life!

OTHAFA
Seeing a lot of people on Twitter complaining about no Patience. It's ridiculous to me that they waste time with these cover songs while leaving out classic GNR concert staples.

It must have been when my browser crashed and I was sent forth into the Great Periscope Hunt. I didn't think I took a full song length to get it back up and running, but that is the only way I can think of that I could have missed it. shjtjustgotreal
just rewatched stream for Better and I think it's actually better than the one in DC the other day
Popular Post WhazUp
I feel like its easy to be a critic sitting at home watching periscope... Axl sounds bad, they should add Patience instead of a cover like The Seeker, they play x song too fast, Axl's whistle is off time, etc. But at the end of the day you just have to go to the show and be in the moment. The crowd obviously sounded fantastic, their reception is very telling that this was a great show. Just be in the moment, enjoy some great rock n' roll. Being a critic to the point of not being able to enjoy what is in front of you has got to be no fun
History2010
I just got back home, I will probably write a full review tomorrow. But in brief I would like to say to anyone who is still on the fence about this tour: tonight's show was worth every cent, you will not be disappointed. Also someone earlier mentioned that Axl sounds better live and that the phones do not do his voice justice and I have to say that is absolutely correct.

bigpoop
That's an unfortunate freeze frame on Axl there. lol
Judezki
I'm also thinking that PC should be played slower like back in UYI tour, I think it worked well that way. Still a great show, incredible amount of people once again in the audience!
Fitha_whiskey
A quick look thru my photos... Paradise (What's so Kansas about Kansas City anyway?) City... Had ourselves a goddamn good time. Can't complain.

(okay start facepalming me LOL) Me, too. Its because GnR didn't just cover the song...its like hendrixs all along the watchtower. they invented it and made it their own. One of the best "covers" in music history. 2 hours ago, ironmt said: Always loved the song and the way It was performed at the Ritz In 88 and on the UYI tour but I cannot get Into the way they are performing It now. KOHD and PC are really annoying on this tour. I miss the UYI vibe in these songs. Even Gilby knows how to play it the right way...
tbaugerud
Frank sets the tempo om f.ex. Rocket Queen, while Slash sets the tempo on f.ex. SCOM. Playing songs faster live is very normal, due to energy/adrenaline levels etc. To people on here thinking they have "decided" to play faster: that's not the case.
