Popular Post SteveVH4
All this bitching is crazy... First it was new guns, then it was all the variations of the band. Finally we have at least the trio back but there is still constant bitching. I don't care what anyone else says, that shit sounded amazing tonight. I consider myself more than a casual fan and I left this show tonight ecstatic. Can we just fucking enjoy this? I had an amazing time tonight as well as the majority of the crowd who didn't have their head in their asses. I thought everyone sounded in tip top shape. Remember, the majority and core of this band is 50+. I am only 36, but am pretty sure I couldn't pull off what they are pulling off every other day. Take it from me, if you have the cash, go see it as close as you can and enjoy what is happening in front of you. Good night.

The crowd looks dead because they are either too rich and entitled to get loose, or they are normal people wondering how they are going to pay rent and eat after spending all of their $$ for "VIP" pit seats.
Popular Post GoodOlJohnnyK
A lot of you need to understand that the band isn't designing the setlist for those of you following along nightly on Periscope. There are a lot of people who don't sit on MyGNR every night and are only seeing this show one time - and the band wants to give them the most complete show possible. And again, this is a big stadium show and also their first (and who knows? Maybe only) time coming back around, which means they're drawing a lot more 'casual' fans than a typical tour might. Trust me, when you're on that stage, you want the crowd going nuts as much as possible: I had great seats right up front in DC, and as much as I loved Coma, there was a significant portion of the crowd that, while they were into it, clearly didn't know the song as well as, say, Brownstone or Patience. The band doesn't want to turn off half the crowd while they run through 8 minutes of Locomotive, a deep cut for the diehards. They gave us Coma - that's for us (and Slash). Plus, all the Chinese stuff is pretty foreign to most of the crowd - especially TIL and Better. As for why they play The Seeker? The simple answer is that the band probably likes the song. And isn't that what we want? A band playing a song at their most energized? Trust me - when I was listening along to the Periscopes, I was like "eh, this song is pretty boring." When I saw it live in DC - when I saw Slash jumping up and down rocking the fuck out to the song - I loved it. Some things aren't meant to translate well over the internet.

GNR3312
Finally writing back. It was a fantastic show like everyone else said. I was in section 104 and we were rocking and singing to almost every song. Funny thing, during Duff's song, a ton of people went for beer refills. I guess that's the break everyone was looking for. Also, someone smoked a smelly joint in the bathroom and caused a cleaning guy to search all the stalls and trash cans for it, cause the smell wouldn't go away lol.

Popular Post James Bond
I'd say the NITL Tour is entirely appropriate to stick to a standard set considering it's the first time they've played together in a long time. Let's see what happens beyond the tour. Keep in mind that most of the people going in to these shows don't follow the boards as religiously as we do so it's a total surprise. Most bands out there keep a pretty standard set. Don't like the set list? It's as simple as clicking away from the Periscope stream. Any surprises that may or may not happen will end up on YouTube anyways. I'm only casually following the shows right now because there's only two weeks until mine and I'll be there to enjoy it regardless of The Seeker or not.

GNR3312
I almost forgot, one thing I truly enjoyed was watching all the retro tour shirts being worn tonight. From old 80s AFD to 2000s tours, they were out in full force. It was so great. Edited July 2, 2016 by GNR3312

scooby845
I'm pissed that I'm not seeing any spider cams covering the area for a live concert film..Come one - it's not like every show will have been sold out by the tour's end..

AlexC
Civil War really is phenomenal on this tour. Slash and Axl really shine on it, plus I think it's Frank's best performance of the night too.
LA_0013
Civil War has never really done much for me, whether it be live or on the album. But that was pretty enjoyable

It's only the 4th show of the tour and already I'm tired of hearing about hope they change the set list or about ticket sales. Just enjoy the damn shows...too much nit picking.
