I was lucky enough to be a little right of center in front of the catwalk. Unfortunately the front monitors on stage blocked most of @Black Sabbathand myself's view. The first 6-8 songs were a non-stop jumping and singing marathon that I haven't experienced at a show in a looooong time. My serious thanks to the handful of forums members who banded together and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Here's the first batch of pics. We had to tell her repeatedly that we couldn't move because the people in front of us were at a stand still due to everyone trying to leave. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I never thought I would see these guys playing together. Amazing show. Axl sounded absolutely awesome; the whole band sounded great. I loved every minute. Axl smiled, laughed, and seemed so happy to be there. I loved seeing him up there. He gave it his all. I could see the sweat dripping off of him on the screen. That smile, those eyes, and that laugh, I was reminded a lot of Illusions era Axl. Axl almost slipped once and he didn't miss a beat. Slash is beyond impressive. Guy is just iconic. A pleasure to watch him play. I have new found respect for how much is takes for a band to come together and perform a show that sounded like this and gets a reaction like this from the crowd. I never realized how much I took that for granted. They seemed to be enjoying themselves and I don't know what goes on behind the scenes with these guys but they looked happy to be on that stage and I loved their interactions. Axl admired Slash, Duff and Richard's playing. Wonderful to see. To see Steven was fantastic. I was hoping this would happen at this show. Guy looked and seemed thrilled. So happy to see him and for him. I do not know the numbers and haven't read this thread yet, but the stadium looked absolutely packed and that was great to see. The crowd was wonderful. All throughout the day I saw Guns shirts in the city and I felt a sense of camaraderie. It is hard to explain. Just felt great. The vibe at the show was fantastic. I have a lot more I could say but I have a feeling after I read the thread I will see most of it there. If this post has errors and sounds a little off, please forgive. It is 3:30 a.m. my time right now. I couldn't sleep and I'm still feeling beat up and sore from all the dancing, screaming, and giving it my all to rock out at this show. The show had a good vibe going, they announce Adler and first thing he sees is a "where's Izzy" sign. He responds with "good question". Meaning it's probably not entirely in their control. Then they had the sign removed...probably didn't want to ruin the mood for the rest of the show. Not a big deal, imo and if you're gonna get butt hurt over getting a sign taken, maybe it's best you don't bring a sign.
