cotty168
I was in section 108, row A. Pretty disappointed with how far away we were from the corner of the stage, but that's not Guns fault. Anyway... here are a few links to some video I shot. You can really hear Axl's mic cutting in and out on Coma. Gives you an idea of what some of the people on here have been talking about with the sound. Enjoy... As soon as I went off to college in 1992 I went straight to the shop and used the design from Sorum's drums as the inspiration. It's not identical, but close. Then the breakup happened... I always kind of figured it was me that jinxed the band. Edited July 14, 2016 by cotty168 typo

They were absolutely playing to crowds of 4k to 12k the majority of the time other than festivals that Included many bands. There Is no denying that with Slash and Duff on board they are playing to bigger crowds and no one said that they were playing without success. They just were not playing to as large of crowds which makes my point that the line up definitely matters.

They are currently playing In the U.S. and If you look at your figures you will see that they played to between 4k and 12k In the U.S. They are now playing to 30k to 50k In the U.S. The line up made all the difference. I guess we could go on and on about this and pull numbers from clear back on the Illusion tour which would conclude that they sold more tickets In South America and around the world with the original members than they did with Axls band In 2010. The numbers prove that the line up with the original members have and will continue to sell more tickets than a band with just Axl. But we are all entitled to our own thoughts and opinions. Take care.

AtGame7
I didn't bother to write a review because I was one of 40,000 or so at the show and figured my opinion really matters very little in the grand scheme of things, which is true, but I've been watching videos and reading others recaps since the show so I thought I might as well add my 45 year old perspective. I could not have possibly asked for more. I was looking forward to this concert like a 10 year old looks forward to Christmas. This band, these songs, were the soundtrack to a life misspent in the 80's and 90's. I've grown up since then and look back at all the mistakes I made during that time in my life and wish I had done things differently for sure (though I have heard to regret nothing because the choices we make are the choices that make us who we are) but I also remember the good times, the good times that (for good reason) are gone and we won't get again. I remember the friends I had back then and the crazy things we did. We were happy and cared little about the real world, maybe it was a better time, maybe it wasn't, I really don't know. I've gotten older and have a job and a family that require my support and I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THAT. I have one goal left in life and that is to take care of them to the best of my ability, period. I did get, with the blessing of my wife, for one night, the ability to put all that on the backburner for a few hours and recapture at least a little bit of the good time of a misspent youth. You see, to someone like me to see Axl, Duff and Slash on stage together again is more than just a concert, but what a concert it was. Since it became obvious the band wasn't going to play together anymore I always said I wish I could see Axl and Slash do "Sweet Child o Mine" together one more time because each did the song with whatever assemblance of musicians they were with, but it will never be SCOM without Slash on the guitar and I like Myles Kennedy well enough, but, well, sorry that just doesn't do the song justice. What would I pay to hear that one more time? Turns out $176 was PENNIES compared to what it was actually worth to me. As far as an actual review of the show, well, it's like talking politics or religion. You won't change anyone's mind, especially if they went into the show with their mind made up already. Yea, I could tweak the setlist, yes, Axl's voice isn't like it was in 89 but if all you want to do is find reasons to complain then I won't be able to stop you. In my opinion the show was more than I could have asked for and I'm very happy for what we got. If Duff is truly responsible for making this happen, thank you sir. Right now, I gotta get back to work.
Cisco78
Atgame7 I couldn't have said it any better. It took me back to my faster lived years as a youth. For me it was nothing less than epic & the highlight of the night for me was catching Axl's mic a souvenir of a lifetime. & after reading Duff's book how to be a man & other illusions it made me 1 have a new found lust for life & the future & 2 let go of the life altering mistakes of my misspent youth. Between seeing axl In 2004 or in there someplace to now was like night and day, his performance the stage show & just the entire atmosphere was electric undoubtedly the best live show I've seen.
