razzy
What a wonderful evening in Toronto! Made the trip from Montreal. I had a nosebleed ticket but did the lineup at gate 6A for pit access. I got the ticket scanned and the pit bracelet!! What an upgrade!!! Went straight for Slash side. you can even see me in the GnR Twitter video for Toronto! Unbelievable experience.
izzyzz
Alright, this is the last one I got... *Some of the earlier videos I posted got f**cked up by YouTube stabilization enhancement, they're in the process of being reverted to originals. Sorry about shaky cam -- you try to stand still at a GN'R show! LOL...

Inserting Slash and Duff into the band again and playing the same set as the Sound Academy show from three years ago? To me Guns is Appetite to the Get In The Ring Tour. Axl clearly didn't bring that back. Not saying he had to but ultimately that is what I wanted. I tried to convince myself otherwise. To me, Axl gets a pass on this tour because it's the first one with Slash and Duff. If they continue beyond NITL without any sign of new music then I'll quickly lose interest.

In my part of town the security was brutal (woman). She targeted my friend and I. I'm going to get in touch with Rogers Center about it. However, the show was amazing, rocking out, sister tried to throw her undies on stage (too funny!) and feet so sore ? Same here. Thanks for the invite and was cool meeting the faces behind the posts. Popular Post FuriousStyles
I've finally crawled my way back to my computer desk Firstly, a very special and sincere thank you to @downzy and @gunsguy You guys are FUCKING AWESOME people!!!!! Thank you for the t-shirts and your generosity and kindness towards myself, my brother and best friend! I hope we can do it again some day! You guys rock! I'm glad I finally got to meet you guys, and although it was way too short, I was happy to spend time with you! It was also great meeting @ajyoli and everyone else who made it out!!! What can I say...... It was FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!! The greatest concert experience I have ever had in my life!!!! One of the greatest nights of my life!!! I basically stood feet away from my childhood heroes Axl, Slash and Duff and watched them rock the fuck out of their songs! I just screamed my heart out, jumped as high and long as my legs would let me, and poured 20 years of love and energy back at them as best I could. Random: - I was the asshole in Pit 1 jumping up and down without his shirt - waving it like a maniac sometimes. #sorrynotsorry - I stood in the pit next to two women who knew Richard Fortus and had “Aftershow Party” wrist bands...Smoke shows - Bubbles stood behind me for a while with his girlfriend – people kept bugging him and eventually his girlfriend came up behind me and grabbed me – I turned around but honestly couldn't hear what she said as the music was way too loud. Don't know how long he stayed. - LOL @ the fan who jumped the barricade to touch Slash during his Godfather solo - had all the time in the world - and could barely jump up to touch his shoes. Slash gave no fucks. Apparently, security didn't either.... -Andrei was walking around checking out the pit for chicks – Which is presumably why they were all absent near the end of the show - Slash came over right on top of me and started into Double Talkin' Jive. I think we shared a moment – Motherfucking Slash knew I existed for a fraction of a second! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! Here are some of my videos Watch at your own peril and may God have mercy on your soul if you do!
Popular Post downzy
Hey All, Just want to thank everyone who made it out to the Loose Moose yesterday. It was a great time meeting everyone and I'm happy to hear that everyone had a wonderful time as well. I believe @Whiskey Rose has a picture of a few of us that hopefully she can share at some point. Bar tab ended up being a couple hundred more than anticipated but it was well worth it! Show was great, had a lot of fun. Seeing Guns N' Roses at Rogers Centre Sky Dome is a dream come true (even if the sound is generally subpar). I'll give my review later on if I've got time (slammed with work). Not to sound repetitive with respect to the comments already made, but the city was going nuts over GNR last night. It felt as though people were required to wear GNR shirts if they were going to be walking along Front Street. Such an amazing vibe and a dream come true for this born and raised Toronto-based Guns N' Roses fan. And for those wondering why the late start last night (though 30 minutes is nothing in GNR-land), Axl's foot is still on the mend and needed some last-minute attention. Whatever they did it sure seemed to do the trick as he was running around like a mad-man, as if it were 1992. Definitely a lot of fun last night. Kind of sad I won't have an opportunity to see another show for awhile. Ah well, twice in one month is not too bad all things considered. P.S. I would tag everyone who made it out last night to the pre-party but I don't want to exclude anyone by accident. Again, thanks for all those who made it out and made the night even more awesome.
Popular Post wpgGNRfan
What an awesome show, definitely the biggest and best concert I've ever been to. Flew in from Winnipeg Saturday morning had no sleep from the night before. Couldn't get into our hotel rooms yet, so we walked around the city like zombies for a few hours. Finally caught a few hours sleep and headed to the show. Me and my buddy are still here in Toronto and wanted to commemorate the trip so figured we get some matching tattoos. Don't post often but figured I had to share this. Mines complete, took 4 and a half hours, my buddies been in the chair now for an hour. done at Tagged Art Also wanted to say about the periscope feeds, I was gonna try and do it. Cell phone Reception is horrible in the Rogers centre. And the free wifi around was not stable either so was not surprised to see everyone complaining about the feeds. I tried to scope and tried to go live on FB and would not work or would work for a few and cut off. wish I could have got down to the loose moose but sleep was much needed at that point Edited July 18, 2016 by wpgGNRfan
Guest
Now awake enough to provide my two cents (five cents actually since we don't use pennies anyone in Canada, ha!) Bused in from Ottawa, had Vip Riser tix in front of Duff (FYI was told 4 songs into the GNR set by the lady in charge that we actually had access to both risers and could go back and forth between them...at that point on Slash's side it was packed). Was right at the front railing of the riser for the entire show, sound was excellent other than the moments Axl would speak, seemed muddled. Met great people, had a great time, chatted with a few folks on getting their Nightrain shirts and they basically said that they shipped late and somehow got them on time before the weekend show. I can understand everyone's point of view regarding expectations, my approach was simple...this band is not supposed to exist. With all the drama, bad blood and whatever else thrown in a blender over the past few decades there were better odds of pigs flying yet here we are...2016 and Axl and Slash and Duff are together, getting along and playing kickass music again. I cannot remember a Guns show where Axl was smilling so much and seemed genuinely happy. I could care less about the rest of the lineup, what ifs with Pittman and Izzy, crowd moods, cash grabs, etc. Most of the band and music I loved to death as a young teenager exists again in live form and I have the opportunity to see them...LIVE! It was a kickass show by a kickass band that still gives a damn 20 plus years after their golden years...I can't complain and we should just be rejoicing and celebrating ? Go see the band live, when they are on their game periscope and youtube do not do it justice. They don't make rock bands like they used to anymore. NicoRourke
Guys, can we all agree on the fact that they're back or what??? Axl is clearly taking things very seriously, bringing his A++ game. Right he's untouchable. The Sluff effect? Works also with Dush. Dash. Also I'm happy to see that people are praising Richard and also being cooler about Frank. Dude's giving his all. And I really like Melissa's backing vocals with Duff.

Popular Post Whiskey Rose
Ok, so apologies for the poor quality, the lighting was poor, plus my camera is shite. But, we all look like skulls so I guess that's kind of fitting ha. We have Incognito @downzy, some random dude, @Amir, myself, @gunsguy and @Coma16. I guess I got there too late to meet a lot of people, maybe next time! Still, an awesome night all around. Popular Post ajyoli
Ok so here's me trying to writing a proper post after coming down from the high of the GNR concert. I have to thank @downzy for the fantastic pre party and for being so generous and kind with everything. Free drinks and free t-shirt, and great people, you just couldnt go wrong and it made the whole night all that much more special. I'm thanking @FuriousStyles for being so accommodating with my friends and I when picking up our VIP tickets at the Will Call. It was awesome meeting you and even my friends say you were a really nice guy. Thank you so much for making that night possible for us. Now the concert.... I'm not a Billy Talent fan, but for someone who had A LOT of drinks in them (we ended up getting into Hoops before the show. Every place was RAMMED), I can't say Billy Talent was bad. I think they did the job they had to do. Yes, GNR was 30 minutes late, but that's nothing compared to 2013, and @downzy cleared that up anyways, so thats all good, and honestly, Axl can be as late as he wants lol . This would be the 4th time for me seeing Guns N' Roses (2010, 2011, 2013, 2016), and for sure it was a special one because of the lineup, but it was great to see a different setlist order, with of course some stuff I never had the pleasure of watching live (Coma, DTJ). Also, starting with ITs So Easy was a nice change, but not the same climatic intro as WTTJ or Chinese. But it felt more raw and real, which was amazing. In the beginning, you really couldn't hear Axl, but I figured it was because the crowd was loud, or I was loud (yes, i scream/sing every lyrics of every song possible), but then it seemed the mix got better and better as the night went one. I was sitting in A6, Row 14 with my two buddies. Other than the booklet, there wasn't really anything VIP about our experience. I don't mean this in a bad way, but other than having some decent floor seats and something special to go home with, there wasn't anything special about our entrance lol. Although, we ended up going into the venue as Billy Talent started, and we didn't wait for 1 minute, just went right in. A guy from VIP section just opened the door for us. Axl sounded amazing all night. The crowd was loving it all night, and my friends loved it as well. While it was definitely an amazing concert, and the band was definitely ON POINT, i definitely would take PIT over seats. I've never done seats for a GNR concert before. I've always lined up at 9AM, and been the first, or one of the first in the place, and gotten first pick and rail. This time, yes, I got to drink, go to the bathroom, and i didn't have to stand all day or wait in line, although i never sat down during the concert, and i was with my buddies (who didn't want pit), so it was a different experience, but i've been spoiled with pit all these years, and now, i was just aching to get closer. (my last show was Sound Academy, right infront of the stage, first one there, and man i have never been closer to GNR.. sure if it was Duff and Slash, would have made it even better, but that was still my favourite musical night of all time...never been closer to Axl lol) Axl's story about the gun situation was funny, and he definitely seemed to be in a great mood as well. There was no real engagement between the band and the audience, but there never really has been in the past. Nonetheless, I loved the concert, but one thing that has been bothering me is i feel like I've forgotten 80% of the concert. Not sure if its the drinking, or because its hard for me to visualize moments of the show because i was further away, or maybe because i was just so in the moment, singing every song, but i'm just going through all the videos posted and trying to remember, oh yea i was singing to that song. Sort of a downer for me, cuz i hate forgetting, but i would have never missed this show for the world. Loved Coma, Estranged, (i would have loved Rocket queen but i cant remember it), Sorry wasn't as big of a downer like people are saying. Everyone around me was singing it. Of course all the classic hits were great and on point. I loved Civil War, and Axl's voice really came through on KOHD, but no surprises in general. Those 2 hours and 45minutes just FLEW BY! like REALLY QUICKLY! lol Fantastic concert, amazing vibe in the venue, and lets hope they come back again so i can get pits next time. Can someone here make sure i never get seats again? lol THANKS EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM FOR HELPING RE-LIVE THIS AMAZING CONCERT! Here's some of the crappy videos and photos I have. I'm in the knocking' on heavens door video singing like an animal but you can really hear Axl's vocals in that , and another video is my Snapchat story of the day lol. I apologize in advance. Popular Post Hollywood Gunner
still somewhat hung over from saturday and not fully recovered from the almost 900 miles i drove lol but im too blown away to even write a review... one thing that really stood out to me was duffs stage presence... ive seen both axl and slash in recent years and love them both, no one even comes close but i wasnt expecting duff to make such a difference... its hard to explain but you could just feel him standing there (i was in the pit) the next coolest part was the buzz in downtown toronto before the show... ive loved guns for close to 30 years now and have never been able to share that love with complete strangers lol just felt amazing... drove to niagara falls the next afternoon which is a good 80 miles away and at least 5 people asked if i was at the show since i was wearing a tour shirt... id definitely say theyre back and the only things that are missing for this to really explode are izzy and a new album
