Axl was just amazing on LTBR - his menace on this is unique and the final scream before Angus' solo is fantastic to hear. HTH, SDIF, Thunderstruck, STT, RNRD, HB, ROB, everything I've heard whole or snippets of, has sounded fantastic. Love the sleazy way he does DDDC and TNT now. Getting both TTM and Riff Raff was fantastic. Also, it's great to see the love and appreciation that have developed for Angus on here. AC/DC are very different from GN'R of course, but they are an iconic, great band and they are Rock N Roll, through and through. It's a pity this is winding down but Axl's tremendous vocal form should mean good things for the NITL tour. I might be hearing it with my own ears and seeing it with my own eyes but never, for a moment, thought that this pairing would work. Being in an AC/DC cover band for the last 20 years I know the music. Its good stuff to play but finding a singer that can pull off Brian and Bon in a cover band is virtually impossible. Easy to play, hard as hell to sing. VERY FREAKIN HARD! I initially thought Axl was an eminent disaster waiting to happen, but jeezus hell was I wrong!! Axl isnt just pulling it off, he is nailing the ever lovin shit outta these songs. UNBELIEVABLE PERFORMANCE'S! He is stamping his authority on being one of the greatest front men in rock music. AC/DC sounds better than they have in years and its in no small part due to Axl Rose. They appear invigorated and fresh. Sorry Brian, as much as I love/loved you, Axl is killing your shit more than you have in the last 15 years. Axl is better on Brian's stuff than Brian has been recently. I love GNR and cant wait to see Slash wielding that axe with Axl complimenting him on the vocals but AXL/DC has become an immediate legend. I can't wait for the GNR tour as I think Axl has really settled into an unbelievable groove. I was actually in the corner so I had the main stage infront of me, and the catwalk on my side! So I could just rotate wherever Axl was It was the best concert I have EVER been to!!!!! AXL WAS ON FIRE!!!! Rocking the GnR style, and dancing like a maniac at times! A lot of classic GnR moves in there as well, so I was in heaven!!! He came over to me a couple of times during the concert and I was pointing at my Axl Rose shirt, and he just kept staring at it hahaHis vocals were INSANE. And let me tell you, the photos don't do him any favours! He was really fit! So. After the concert I met up with this lovely girl, Hanne, which I met at the concert. We had planned on going to a hotel we thought he might be staying at. About an hour after we went there, his crew came and told us to line up, and "he" would take photos with us!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!! I was gonna meet AXL ROSE!!! I was shaking and almost crying at a moment there, haha. He came, we talked and laughed. I told him it was the best concert I've ever been to. He replied "was it the only one you've been to?" LOL. We just laughed. We talked a bit about coachella and he signed both my t-shirt AND my GnR tattoo! I need to find a tattoo shop in the morning... Before he left, I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek! I couldn't help it. He was in good spirits! And took his time with everyone. Now, I'm back in my hotel room, listening to GnR on my headphones, writing this, posting photos, and I'm just praying I wont wake up and it was all a dream. 35 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
