And you mean other than Slash’s multiple charting singles from his 3 solo albums, including “You’re a Lie” and “World on Fire” which both peaked at #1. And, of course, you mean other than the fact that VR and Slash solo smoked any and everything on Axl’s “Chinese” in sales, plays, and downloads. Oh yeah, Slash's snake pit, libetard, and the conspirator albums were such hot sellers. Slash basically had 6 albums that bombed and one that actually did sell. thats quite a batting average to be proud of. CD went platnium only being available in one store and sold about four million worldwide, about the same as contraband Slashs most successful album with out Axl. Atleast Axl didn't release albums like libertad and aint life grand, those albums were such bombs they should have been dropped from the Enola Gay.

CD did not have a hit song, and flopped doesn't matter if bb ate the cost.
Free Bird
How many people did attend the second Metlife show, any guesses? Was the stadium half empty?

The fact of the matter Is Axl and his version of Guns N Roses would still be playing to crowds of 4,000-12,000k people along with more "up close and personal" shows Instead of to 35,000-50,000k per night If Slash had not rejoined. The tour numbers do not lie and they have provided all the proof that we need that Slash Is just as Important to Guns N Roses as Axl Is. 14 minutes ago, Free Bird said: How many people did attend the second Metlife show, any guesses? Go look at where Slash was playing, how sad is it he had to play in some place call Jiffy Lube Live. How about the 50 person lounges he was playing. Axl was being paid millions of dollars to do private shows for high rollers, Slash was probably being paid in free meals for shit holes he was playing. CD went platinum in countries all over the world, with no promotion and being available in only one store in the US. Slash produced six unquestionable bombs in three different bands. He was basically producing overpriced drink coasters rather than music.

Of course it won't reach the numbers Axl gets, as Axl has the name, but he still headlines large theaters around the USA and more in other countries tries. Fun fact, he and GNR played the same venue in Detroit in 2012 with similar attendance numbers btw I love CD, but it didn't do what it was supposed to. The "lack of promotion" excuse is stupid. Dr pepper gave everyone sodas, it had TV commercials, a cardboard display at Best Buy, radio stations talked about it, Time magazine even had an article (along with the usual magazines and sites), and it had the whole mystique thing behind it. Would an Axl interview really changed anything? Get real. Again, only idiots get so hung up on Axl vs. Slash (especially now) but your bias against Slash is obvious. And 6 unquestionable bombs? He got a platinum record and a Grammy award with one of those albums. 3 were independent and continue to have songs played from them on my city's hard rock station.
DieselDaisy
I wish Slash's solo career was slightly less successful than it was then I may have obtained tickets in 2012. Sadly (for me) it was sold out very quickly.
P1g Vomit
Im actually wrong, i went back and noticed Slash had several EP's, live albums, and soundtracks that also bombed. Hes literally like 1 for 15.

sanity_lost
... why has this turned into Axl vs Slash? What difference does it make how much or little an album sold? What size of venue they have been playing in, in the past. Are you only a fan of Guns because they were once popular? I guess I don't get it.
