Popular Post scooby845
http://www.musicradar.com/news/drums/frank-ferrer-how-i-nailed-the-guns-n-roses-gig-638093 ... “I really try to keep the spirit of the way the song was played," Frank explains. LOL LOL LOL “I have tremendous respect for the drummers in Guns N’ Roses. I love Brain so much. What Brain told me was to try and make the songs my own. I never forget that. Obviously my own personality comes through, especially on some of the funkier stuff. What the FUCK??? That's totally contradictory..!!! “My favourite song to play is You Could Be Mine, that’s so fun to play as a drummer. It’s a lot of fun Yeah that's why it sucks... Axl sings fast a lot so you have to pull back a little bit so he can get his words out.” yeah right... that's why you're playing it 100mph... I’m more of a feel drummer. LOOOOL If you want to know what kind of drummer I am just listen to me play Brownstone or Rocket Queen. yeah we know...WE KNOW!!!! ZoSoRose
The only two songs I've had a remote problem with Frank lately have been DTJ and RQ and it's more to do with how loud he is. I like him as a drummer in GNR. I think the faster tempos threw him off his groove a tad on those songs but they'll get better I bet. As is they're still fine to me
Sosso
Bryan Mantia is my favourite GN'R drummer. But Frank is ok too… underrated.

HeartbreakerWoman
Frank Ferrer is the Pete Best of GN'R.
Popular Post TeeJay410
I really can't hear how he is that bad. Go back and listening to early era GNR gigs objectively. There's playing loose, then playing sloppy, then playing like a man on too much heroin.

Popular Post wasted
I'm seeing a pattern here. He tries to keep the spirit but he's still a different kind of drummer. We get a reunion and we have tear one guy down because it's not perfect. Steven couldn't do it, Matt probably wouldn't do it without Steven. I like Frank's drumming, he can keep it funky and hit big. I think he overplays a little, like trying to be Zepp or something. It's kind of wild though, him flailing around and Slash kicking up dust. He hasn't let anyone down yet. Imagine cancelling Coachella because Steven threw his back out?

"early GNR era"? what is that? a new name for "Guns n Roses"? you mean that band formed by axl, izzy, slash, duff and steven? you are really trying to put THAT BAND on the same boat as the drumming of frank ferrer?
Popular Post CardinalGunner
I think Frank is the perfect drummer for GNR and I'm saddened by the lack of respect he receives in these parts. I think he does a phenomenal job on Brownstone. Of course that's my own opinion. If I didn't like his drumming so much, I certainly would assume say nothing rather than some of the mean shit thats said here.
Popular Post Tom-Ass
Frank is the worst part of this "reunion"... Never heard a drummer single-handedly have a negative effect on so many songs.. This "reunion" could be so much better and one of the biggest reasons if not the biggest is Frank trying to make perfect songs "his own".. People were excited about a reunion and hearing these songs sound great again.. Not some no name drummer making the songs his own..
