I agree that Axl's vocals on PC need a lot of improvement...But when you're actually there and it's the end of the show and fireworks/confetti are going off it's still quite the magical experience.

I was there for the San Diego show. It was cool, but you can notice that Axl's vocals are weak, and the song just doesn't have that vibe it used to have. The PC performances I saw in the 90's totally blow away 2016. It is not even close. If he can't sing it anymore, than he should stop singing it . I don't blame him if he can't sing it anymore, just replace the song.

NO.

If Izzy ever rejoined, the band would be a 3 guitar players band again, that's it.

Izzy would be the 3rd guy. In the dark. In the shadow. Somewhere behind the drums or even behind Melissa. His amps would be turned down in a way nobody could hear him.

Remember 1991. That's what is used to be : Izzy's amps were turned down 'cause the guy can't play. He has no skills. Tou can't take the risk to call Izzy for a world Tour, the guy can't fucking play!

That's why Fortus will ALWAYS be necessary : He can play. And Axl, Slash and DUFF know this.

I like Izzy but for god's sake : YES for studio writing but NO for live shows. No fucking way. He just can't play! :shrugs:

wow... that´s a whole lot of bullshit

Axl sounds exactly how he did on the first leg of the tour. Rasp on the same songs, clean on the same songs. It seems the shows will be quite similar, except fot the crowds being a lot less boring.

The concert we saw in Arlington TX was one of the best fans I ever saw at a GNR concert!

As soon as the guys came out, especially Axl all you heard was one big roar.

Everyone sang every song and Axl sounded amazing.

I think considering Izzy and Steven are not a part of it, I think this is the best GNR Axl could have as of now.

Sit back and enjoy the show! It'll be one you won't soon forget!

Yeah, thanks for the pictures! Makes me miss GNR so much more now.

Hope they come back to Texas or do a Vegas residency. I can't wait another 3 years or so to get my GNR fix!:P

2nd Leg of the tour, and people are still bitching about the same things. Axl is 54 Fucking years old. Go listen to old videos if you want full on Rasp. At this age its not going to happen anymore. Father time is undefeated. It will kick all of our asses sooner or later. The fact the man can even sing even half as good considering his demanding style is a miracle itself.

Id rather have PC sung at 70%, than no PC at the end of the show. When you're live and in the moment, there is no better song to end the show. Its a fucking spectacle with the fireworks, confetti, the breakdown and solos at the end, singing along to the song. You cant nor should try and replace that.

Agree! I remember the end of the SF show feeling such joy when those fireworks went off and looking up in the sky and seeing the confetti being flown all over us at AT&T park by the fresh cool SF wind! Wonderful memory. The guys know how to end a show! No complaints here! I'm just freakin happy that gnfnr is back!!!! :headbang:

GENERAL VERBAL WARNING:

These show threads are meant to discuss the current or recent GN'R show. They are not meant to discuss past members, any side projects or anything else for that matter. Users who continue to derail these threads with anything just mentioned will receive warning points and the discipline that comes along with each point.

There's more than one thread for each of the topics I mentioned but these show topics are meant to discuss these shows. The mods don't have the time and energy to clean up all the derailing posts so that people wanting info on the show can find it.

Thanks.

I've seen people post that Axl is 54 and you can't expect this or that from him, but cmon the guy sang the ACDC catalogue like he wrote it.

Someone said if he can't sing PC anymore than don't do it, but the thing is he is very capable of singing it with more rasp he just chooses not to. It's a lot of words really fast, but this year has shown how capable Axl is.

Still find the omission of Out Ta Get Me and My Michelle weird. Those were highlights for the US leg!

Part of the explosion when they came out in Arlington was the hour delay, I don't think that show kicked off till after 10. But yes it was incredible!

Did the show last night start on time?

It was late because production couldnt get all the people inside the stadium by the time of the show.

Yes there were a lot of problems for the people to access but Axl arrived to the stadium 10 min. before the show started, according to the local security team and some friends of mine that arrived late and saw his car and security enter to the stadium

Wow...Great videos...Axl sounds very good and looked pretty tinier...Slash and Duff make whole story very real...

Crowd is different story...Totally crazy fans...These guys amazing...What official reviews said about attendance...How many people was there?

We are really happy for the show and according to the local press and comments in general was the best show of the year with the Rolling Stones show that we saw in march. Officially 40k but I think that was 50k. One of the few sold out shows in my country

I'm 100% sure he was sick. Listen to YCBM, it sounds painful for him. Civil War, raspy as fuck, but like he's powering through illness. (imo)

Could be, someone said he was late getting to SA due to a doctors appointment...so it adds up and him showing up 10 min before the show is more like old Axl than current Axl.

If he was sick props to him for going out there and doing what he can! I'm sure it left the fans there happy.

The only thing I noticed is his scream on Jungle got cut off and on Live and Let Die it sounded forced. I wouldn't disregard him being sick at all

To get back on the show topic:

I would like to thank the band Guns N' Roses for waiting to get on stage until I was at a place where I could get settled in and watch periscopes of their show. They didn't have to delay just for me, but that was good of them to do so. I thought I was going to have missed a large chunk of the show do to other obligations, but it turned out they not only waited for me, but had perfect timing in doing so. It's So Easy kicked in just as I got the Periscope link up and running.

That was cool of them.

Now that I know they are arranging their shows to correspond around my schedule, if they'd be so kind as to start the next one just a hair early, I'd be appreciative.

Sincerely-

Sanity Lost

The traffic getting to the venue was horrendous, Del James replied to my post saying they were 2 hours on the traffic even with police escort helping them get by. Thats why Axl arrived 10 min before they went on. I was 3 hours in a taxi trying to get there, horrible! However the concert was brilliant and worth whatever I had to suffer getting there!

Yes it's true, my city has a horrendous traffic. But all the band went to the venue around 2pm , except for Axl. Anyway, we are happy with their incredible show and many people who arrived late because of traffic could appreciate the show in its entirety
