Live Like a Suicide Posted November 5, 2016 Share Posted November 5, 2016 The simple fact is that those who complain about Frank, Richard and Melissa will still purchase tickets to these shows and enjoy themselves. Look, we can all find something to argue about or criticise, but take it as it is, and as it comes. It's rock and roll. Enjoy one of the greatest rock bands while it lasts. As for this show tonight, i'm glad to see everyone back in it again. Axl sounded great, and the show in general could rival nearly any of the US leg. Yes, it took Axl and slash together. From the last lineup to this we subtracted Dj Ashba, Bumblefoot, Tommy Stinson and Chris pitman for Slash, Duff Mckagan and Melissa Reese. And they went from playing half empty arenas to selling out stadiums. And no disrespect but, it wasn't for Melissa Reese- We as diehards hated pitman more but the general public didn't and it wasn't a deal breaker. And as much as this probably doesn't happen without Duff, he did play with that last lineup and I don't know if him being there drastically increased sales over Tommy. Axl and slash together. Sadly, it is what it is and it's like that for a lot of bands. You can't do the stones without mick and Keith. Paige and plant for zeppelin. If this is a reunion tour then Steven should be playing all AFD material and Frank everything else. once the reunion tour ends and it just GNR than Frank will be the only drummer and should be. Don't you think most people - also those attending the shows - would prefer Adler on the drums for the whole show? I do. If so, his post is not misleading. I don't think he meant "they picked the wrong drummer" in the sense that this tour has been an economical failure, obviously. They picked the wrong drummer in the sense that most people, if not all, would have preferred a different one.
