This movie is based on a real person and his story during WWII and how he saved many soldiers without using any weapons. Mel also said how his budget wasn't as big as the budgets in the "super hero" movies, so a lot of this man's action weren't in the movie. Pretty sure there's a book. Anyway, it's very graphic because war is not pretty. I'm glad Mel is back to making good movies and not saying stupid shit. He's also going to be a dad again.
