Jw224
Well if that's true it's what a lot of people here have thought for a while.
Popular Post Estranged Reality
My gut instinct is that Izzy isn't exactly the most transparent guy in the world, and I think it's probably a little bit of a one-sided view of things. I'm sure there's more to the story.

Mandy123
Just now, Estranged Reality said: My gut instinct is that Izzy isn't exactly the most transparent guy in the world, and I think it's probably a little bit of a one-sided view of things. I'm sure there's more to the story. I feel the same. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle of him saying he wasn't offered the same deal and GnR implying they thought a deal was made and then Izzy changed his mind.

I can't imagine it was quite as simple as his tweet makes it out to be.

Funky.Monkey
IZZY STRADLIN Says He Isn't Involved With GUNS N' ROSES Reunion Because 'They Didn't Want To Split The Loot Equally' Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Izzy Stradlin has dismissed singer Axl Rose's explanation for why he isn't involved with the band's reunion tour as "bullshit." http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/izzy-stradlin-says-he-isnt-involved-with-guns-n-roses-reunion-because-they-didnt-want-to-split-the-loot-equally/

He was probably never offered a full time gig because Fortus was still on board, and since he was only going to be part time he probably wasn't going to be paid as much as the full time members. Same situation as Adler.

Subtle Signs
The money issue is theirs. We are all just fans and I'll always be a fan of Izzy and the other 20 something members of GNR. Popular Post bacardimayne
As I said earlier in the week, this may be the most pathetic thing Axl and Guns N' Roses have ever done. Not even in the 2011-2014 dark ages did Axl keep a founding member of the band and longtime friend out for petty money reasons. Absolutely disgusting. Sad my theory has been proven true about this corporate, shit, cashgrab tour.

Same situation as Adler. That's right, and the only reason Fortus is still on board is because "the big 3" knew they could make better money for themselves with the remnants of the old band. The casual fan (many of whom are needed to fill stadiums) doesn't care about Izzy. It sucks but it's true. You can say Axl is loyal etc etc, but if I were playing guitar for, say, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones was already on bass, I would strongly suggest I bow out and they approach Jimmy Page. Say what you want about Ashba, I can't stand the cunt, but he claims Axl still wanted him on third guitar with Slash and he declined. There's literally no reason not to go for a full-blown reunion other than money. Adler would have jumped at the chance, and it would seem Izzy would have liked to be involved too. Regardless, the only motivation should be simply playing in a band together, not only because of their history, but also to thank us for paying for their mansions and putting up with all their bullshit Edited September 8, 2016 by cremefraiche

Popular Post coolranchdressing!
Am I the only one that feels mad at Izzy? I guess I'm selfish because I feel like he should've just taken what was offered so I could've seen him up there! And come on, this is no surprise; the band members are paid differently all along (or at least around 1989 or something) ??
Popular Post Draguns
Before everyone jumps to conclusions, there are usually three sides to every story: your side, their side, and the truth. In addition, everyone has their own perception based on experiences and their own values. I think the story is in the middle.
Popular Post MillionsOfSpiders
No wonder they're not comfortable playing Don't Cry and Patience in the same show. Keep playing shit CD songs and cover versions instead.
GNRmello77
Well sadly the music world is also a sad business, money and fame do bad things to People and it causes bad blood between People. ass lickers games and backstabbing that sadly is what it's like even in the world of our favorite little band with our idols and favorite songs...
