Popular Post goneshootin
I know this is basically a gnr website but figured I'd share what I put on the ACDC site about a meeting with Stevie young tonight. Sorry if it's too much drunken rambling to understand!!! Had the pleasure of meeting Mr Stevie Young tonight. Long story short was at the hotel bar where the band may be staying during their time in NYC. There were a ton of eBay type folks outside with guitars to get signed and the hotel security had them behind a metal gate. I was upstairs at the bar hoping one of the guys would show up but to no avail. Went outside for a smoke and the eBay guys were to the right of the entrance so I went to the left. There was a gigantic guy wearing a Seahawks hat on the left side keeping an eye on things and as I glance to my left who do I see but Mr Stevie young. I asked if he would mind taking a photo and he politely declined while nodding towards the pile of scalpers/fans. A bit disappointed I had a smoke and just stood there thinking shit this didn't work out well. Stevie came over and gave me one of his guitar picks with rock or bust on one side and a replica signature on the other. Classy move by him, he could have done nothing and just enjoyed himself outside. I thanked him for the pick and asked if he minded a quick question or two and he said sure. I asked how live wire got into the set and he said that was something cliff requested. Going with the flow I asked if cliff was getting time for a bass solo and Philly and Stevie said "I fuckin hope so it will give me a night off" which was funny. I told him thanks for the memories and I hope this isn't the end of ACDC and he said "talk to the boss". I told him the boss won't return my calls and again thanked him for his time. Sorry if this makes no sense I'm fooking drunk but was a cool couple minutes getting to meet the man who filled Malcolm's shoes on this last tour! Cheers and good f'n night!
James Bond
Stevie seems like he'd be a great guy to meet. Everything you hear about him suggests he's a hell of a nice guy with a quip for everything.

Never met him either but would tend to agree. Brian was really the one who was the most friendly.

Sosso
He is the perfect replacement for Mal… and I thought that it's impossible to replace him for a very long time. I hope that he will have some co-songwriting credits on the next album.

I only liked some of the lyrics on the albums since The Razors Edge. No comparison to the early years with Bon.
