Dan H. Posted September 28, 2016 Share Posted September 28, 2016 (edited) These guys are real cool, as much as I hate to admit it. I've been slowly getting more and more into their catalogue. They hinge around fictional storytelling and fantasy elements, so if that's a turn off for you, it may be good to pass on them, as their lyrical content almost always follows a narrative. Here's "The Mariners Revenge Song", which is a really cool story, and is captivatingly dramatic and grand. Not to mention a pretty damn catchy melody and fun instrumentation. They are catchy, dramatic, and have a pretty big sound for a folk band. Its not traditional fantasy, think Game of Thrones, but in music. One of those links I posted is the best song about a triple child murder that I've ever heard.
