eye2eye
I love this album. M.Shadows's vocals do not bother me at all but guitar-wise this albums is orgasmic so many great solos, fills, little riffs. I always thought that their guitarists while very technically proficient were too mechanical and without much creativity but those guitars are great - technical but with melody, taste and very fitting to each song. Great, great work. But drumming is even more mindblowing, WOW I liked drumming a lot, on each album ( HTTK was more straightforward but whole album was but drumming was great in your face, old-school pounding metal drumming) but drumming on this album is unreal, fuckin' love it, amazing. Towelie
They're cheesy as fuck, but I like em, sometimes.
Majestic Beast
Just Shadows shaves head, leaving long hair, then shaves head again,it's too cheesy.
chevelle
Loved it on the first listen because of the new album hype, but my opinion is cooling down already. I dig that they went back to their older style a bit after HTTK and that they're not going for obvious hooks and hit singles this time around, but some of the songs just drag on needlessly and have no interesting melodies to hold onto. I actually wrote a long ass review for it here for my personal music blog.
dontdamnmeuyi2015
I'm a huge fan of A7X. I think this song is truly them. you can hear it from the first drum beat. M. Shadows sounds amazing and I've always love Syn Gates' guitar playing. I just ordered The Stage from amazon.com. Waiting for it to come soon. I've seen them in concert since "city of evil". They rock and give 110% live! I think these guys are showing they are back with a vengeance!

They're an excellent band to see live and there's usually so much energy. Last time I saw them was at Mayhem Fest in 2014 and me and a total stranger spent all of A Little Piece of Heaven screaming lyrics at each other like some sort of weird lyric battle, haha. Some cool instrumentals but god damn whole album sounds like it was recorded throuh Logic Pro in a basement with no mixing or mastering, I'll probably pass on this album Listening again with my headphones. Much better impression. Some stuff on this album is actually pretty damn awesome! The album needs good headphones imo. I haven't tried listening in my car or through a decent stereo. Listening through a tablet speaker didn't help it. Anyways, Exist is a pretty cool jam! I like this album, actually Edited November 5, 2016 by ZoSoRose

PsychoKiss344
I find it very tough to listen to this album cover to cover.
Black Sabbath
I gave The Stage another good, full listen today. And honestly, other than the last 3 tracks, I have to say that I still really like this album. Roman Sky is OK. Fermi Paradox isn't great. And Exist just tries too hard. But I actually really like every other song.
Majestic Beast
What a beast perfomance in O2 Arena and the songs of The Stage live sound much better and Wackerman at drums fits very well.
dontdamnmeuyi2015
The more I listen to this cd, the more I like it. M.Shadows vocals are amazing and Zacky and Syn on guitars are fantastic. The new drummer's playing reminds me of the Rev. My brother told me they both went to the same music school, so it could be why their styles are the same. I don't think any drummer could replace the Rev, but I'm glad A7X continue because they are one of my favorite bands. Listening to the lyrics, you can feel that these guys still miss the Rev very much.
