moreblack
Not by a long shot. Especially compared to what the band was doing from 1999-2015. Yes CD was new music, but it wasn't worth the wait, and it wasn't up to GNR's level. Wrong songs, wrong musicians. Axl had them playing rich Russian guys weddings, and casinos. Now they're back to playing stadiums.
Słash
This is like the 1994 tour which never happened. Matt and Gilby got replaced and they are playing some stuff of Axl's future shitty album called Chinese Democracy.

I don't give a shit about flying pianos, Vegas residencies etc, I just want a band that makes new music. I was bored watching Axl sing those songs in 11-14 and I'm even more bored watching him two years later still doing the same ol same ol. Jesus Christ himself could take over axe-duties and I would still feel like gauging my eyes out watching one more rendition of SCOM for the 2428th time. Well the guy refuses to release albums so what do you do? Where is he going to produce new songs from when his discography is the size of a postage stamp? Well at least Izzy will probably keep me occupied with his new album in the "mean time" as we wait for Axl to finish his trilogy/CD ll/UYI lll. Perhaps even another Izzy album in 2021 to coincide with Gn'R. And what about Finck? his solo album is in the works. Could still take a while as it seems Robin is a huge fan of not releasing anything as well. Edited November 3, 2016 by Rovim
Tom-Ass
It has won off a bit for me but for different reasons. Awesome seeing Slash, Duff and Axl back together.. Some songs are AMAZING Others songs suffer from poor vocals which could be offset by a better line up.. Still not digging Fortus, Frank and Melissa.. The performances of some songs could be better.. When they come out and take the final bow, it still doesn't look like Gn'R to me with Frank, Fortus and the blue haired freak.. The set list have also grown stale.. I was periscope every show I could over the summer.. Hardly paying attention to this leg of the tour. Watched my first you tube video last night which was "Used To Love Her". I chose it because they have only played it once. It was better than last time but I hate the way Fortus plays it.
Rovim
With every tour it gets boring in end, for us at least. While casuals go to see a show and get to see Slash and Duff (Steven if they're lucky) and that's enough, We're still more invested in it naturally. It's always gonna be that way until Axl will release albums, if at all. I think it's not supposed to be that way for music to be honest and that's why it's not as appealing as it could have been with a larger catalog or an album every 4 or 5 years. Imagine old Guns playing only Appetite and Lies in 1993. Edited November 3, 2016 by Rovim
DieselDaisy
She suddenly bobs up and down, that emo girl. I watched one clip of Nightrain from a recent show in South America and she is jumping up and down like crazy.

And it's not like she has much to do other than jump around, hit a few synths, and sing some backing vocals. She can't just stand there like Izzy. Axl doesn't like that. What's gotten truly old really quick are threads like this one. Don't really know what to tell people like you that don't seem to enjoy anything about the band or their performances other than to possibly consider moving on and stop following them. The constant whining about what you think they should or shouldn't do isn't going to change a thing -- so why subject yourself to the agony and frustration? Makes no sense. KeyserSoze was spot on with what he said in another thread. Why on earth would anyone want to continue to involve themselves in something that doesn't make them happy in the least? I personally believe most the naysayers just love to bitch and complain for the sake of bitching and complaining. Even if everything was perfect, they'll find something. My advice is to go find another hobby that doesn't make you so angry and unhappy. But that isn't likely to happen because the true enjoyment is receiving responses to the bitching and complaining so that you can then bitch and complain about our opinion of your opinions. Before you respond to tell me not to tell you what to be a fan of or how to behave, ask yourself why you even still care considering all the reasons you've provided to the contrary. You're not going to get any of the things you want and don't have a choice nor a voice in the matter. You no longer like what they are doing and are going to continue to do, so what's the attraction? I'm asking a serious question because I can't relate. If I felt like you do, I wouldn't be paying attention to the band let alone participating on this site. I just wouldn't. While far from perfect, I'm more of a fan of what is going on than not. That's why I'm here. Edited November 4, 2016 by thunderram
Zint
I saw one show, it was cool, but I'm good with that. Unless they record or give me a new reason to go see Slash on stage with a Frank and Wally or whatever, I doubt I'd pay 200 bucks to sit half a football field away again. They couldn't even be consistent with Adler, you had to win a lottery of good fortune to witness one of those gigs. Blow some fans minds...disappoint the rest, typical.

It was mildly exciting/entertaining for the first handful of shows, but less than a year into this reunion, it's gotten real old, real quick. Anyone else agree? If I could've picked how I would've liked GNR to go down in 2016, between getting a new album from the Ron/Ashba/Fortus lineup with a sprinkling of Finck/BH, or alternatively, have Slash and Duff return for the sole purpose of just extending the corporate touring for another 2-3 years, I would've told the latter to shove their reunion where the sun don't shine. At least when Slash was with Myles, we were getting new music from somebody in this sorry excuse for a band. lol...Dude, no one forcing you to enjoy this whole thing. If you dont like it just move on.. what is the point of this post really? you're in the small minority of people that are bored with what is happening. So why create a post to have a few heads agree, and then everyone else disagree with your sentiment? One of the things that broke this band up originally, was that they couldnt agree to what kind of music they wanted to make. thus souring personal relationships between them. Now while things are still on the mend, you want them to go into a studio so that old shit can resurface again? C'mon be serious.

Its not the same thing look, The main point is that if he doesnt like it, he doesnt have to follow the band or any of that. at this point the whole thing is what it is. and its not gonna change anytime soon. They do shit as they see fit. It doesnt have to be for everyone if they arent interested. Edited November 4, 2016 by NicDwolfwood
