Why Does Slash Play CD songs....but yet Axl doesn't play VR or Slash solo??

You may not like it but still Chinese is a GN'R album. VR and that Conspirators thing are just bands that seemed to happen just as Snakepit or Loaded. Dreadful stuff.

So many people dispute it as a real GNR album, though. You can talk technicalities but it's not fair to ignore that part of its history. To a lot of people Chinese Democracy is The Phantom Menace.

I thought for sure they would have played Slither by now.

They should play some VR stuff. I like CD better, but VR suits this new band well. Perhaps they're holding it back cuz Slash and Duff were on rocky ground with Weiland when VR broke up and then he died and shit.

I like that. The Phantom Menace observation. They share a lot of similarities I think. I strongly believe Chinese will do more over time, if not already. Majority of rock fans changed their mind on Chinese, and all over the world people like certain songs. Just as Star Wars nerds will start to believe The Phantom Menace was not that bad compared to the new Disney astrocities.

Phantom menace, eh? This means  this band will release another medíocre (critically panned) album, before landing a decent one, then they will break up again, except this time Axl will be fired and the rest of the band will find a new singer and give us an album that will be favored by critics and fans alike.

Because Axl is in charge. Slash and Duff made the effort and learned the songs on their own. I don't see Axl cranking up Slither and learn songs writen by a guy who once called him names. It would be cool if they played something from Slash 2010 solo record. Or anything from Ain't Life Grand. Awesome album.

Axl said his favorite material to play live now is Chinese tunes. Sounds kinda different compared to Spay.

Seems like most of the people are ignoring it. It's great to hear the guys back, but it's still Axl's new version of Gn'R.

Slash N Duff have really beefed up Better. I love the intro they do. It was a great song made even greater. 

Slither was on the rehearsal list. I would have liked Axl to do it as a one off. He does plenty other covers. 

VR were amazing, Chinese Democracy is amazing.

  Cuz Axl wouldn't do it. Axl swallowed his pride enough to make this reunion happen. In exchange, Slash swallowed his pride enough to play CD material, so there even Stevens. Ain't no way Axl's gonna throw Slash a bone by playing music from Slash's solo projects.

because axl is a child and slash and duff need to be very careful and choose their battles as to not upset the child.  the child doesn't like resistance and not getting his way.
