AxlsFavoriteRose
the last few concerts i went to i bought right from ticketmaster and they were all reasonably priced....except for GN'R, but well i would have paid almost anything for those tickets! Dazey
It would be really easy to completely eliminate this. The Glastonbury Festival in the UK wiped out scalping for tickets overnight. They simply require you to register online before the ticket sale and upload a passport style photo. They print the photo on the ticket so only the person in the picture can use it. I'll never understand why this isn't used more widely.

Padme
No surprise at all. The promoters want a guarantee sold out. There is just one way to get it done. They sell tickets to scalpers. Then it is the scalpers problem if they don't sell tickets. Everytime we see "sold out" as official news that means the promoter sold all the tickets. They didn't lose any money, that's their goal. So the scalpers are the risk takers not the promoters.
Italian girl
the problem in italy is that sellers and scalpers are the same companies with different names!!!
