I really love this thread and everyone in it

Just the idea of the AFD thing, it's not for a while though. :)

He also said that he loves Izzy and that he's the greatest. He said he would text Izzy today and ask him to do an interview with Eddie Trunk.

Good luck Steven,  Cause that is impossible

Do you wonder if Steven is trying to force everybody's hand, to what gain I'm unsure but he is definantly gunning for a response from the big 3. I see duff being the one to come foward if anybody.

He obviously sees Izzy as an ally right now, I have no way of knowing if that's true or not. Izzy seems to walk away from drama so I doubt he will respond but he might align himself with Stevens need to have everything out in the open and agree to give his side. I doubt his still angry, so now might be a good time.

As the anniversary draws closer, I think the interest in all 5 will intensify, so why not just set the record straight from the beginning or was the "moving right on" comment Izzy totally turning his back on anything GnR.

I think Steven is just talking because now he can finally do it after what appears to be a full year of being silenced by the big 3. They gave him a contract in January 2016, JFC:facepalm: He wanted closure, got it and he's done but he knows fans have questions and he's been more than kind for explaining everything and where he stands.

I would like him and Izzy to be allies yes but in a studio. Give us something new and awesome and please stay away from that corporate mafia mess. Move on.

I guess Mr Buchanan doesn't like me taking credit for my contributions to his news.

Also, I never meant that Izzy was offered a big sum of cash to do the entire tour in place of Richard.  I only heard he was going to take on guest spots in the AEG and Mexico City shows, with Richard being the main rhythm guitarist. After I leaked Mexico City and a few dates that were the same on the original routing map, I was more or less shut out of any useful news that would benefit anyone here.

Not surprising that Axl didn't speak to Steven.  I would say he has zero chance of participating in anything GNR tour related from this point forward.  Is Cinderella still touring these days? Maybe they need a drummer so Steven can play larger venues.  I saw them play a huge country bar a few years ago.  There must have been 1200 ppl there.

I wasn't able to listen to Steven's interview with Eddie Trunk. I read in the interview thread that he said he tried to play a third song at one of the shows which was Rocket Queen, but they turned the sound off.

@Kris_1989 or anyone else who listened to it, did Steven really say that?

Of course. alot of bad history between Axl and Steven. plus Steven isnt as likely to simply go with the flow if something doesnt vibe with him, and isnt afraid of confrontation. Not to dissimilar to Sorum, which Id imagine is a big reason he wasnt asked to play with them in any capacity.

I agree on Steven not being involved, Doesnt he seem he wants to be involved moving forward either unless its in full capacity and with Izzy being involved.

Maybe he's gonna join Ratt instead:P

RATT is awesome.  One time, I was on this shitty gambling boat in Peoria, IL playing cards with a few friends when an announcement came over the intercom saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, we have very special guests aboard the Paradice Casino this evening!  We have the members of the hard rock band RATT and let's make 'em feel welcome!"  My buddies and I were kind of drunk and losing a lot of cash but we were cracking up running around the banks of slot machines looking for a few guys who resembled aging rock dudes from the 80's.  The funny thing is that they weren't even playing the casino that night. This was about 9-10 years ago I guess.

Rock history has shown that Steven's strategy won't work.  It never got Don Felder back on tour with The Eagles.

I don't think Steven is playing anyone. He's just hurt and speaking his mind like he always does. Izzy is probably just pissed.

There won't be an AfD show, I'd bet on it

There was some new stuff...

He talked about Duff & Slash texting him to come to Duff's house to talk. When he got there they made him sign a contract before they would talk about the reunion. That was in Jan. 2016. In March is when he went to rehearsals and pinched a nerve in his back. He said he was ready to play again in 10 days but Duff said no. He's been practicing for this reunion for 2 years because that is when he originally heard that it might be happening. Appetite & UYI stuff.

He said that they called him the day before the show in Ohio to ask him to come play two songs. He thought that he wasn't going to be included at all until that phone call.

He's only talked to Axl for a few seconds at each show he played. Never at rehearsals. "Axl likes to be left alone" He also called the NuGNR guys ghosts and that's why Axl likes them because they're quiet.  (AKA "yes" men like we have all been saying for years)

He also said that he loves Izzy and that he's the greatest. He said he would text Izzy today and ask him to do an interview with Eddie Trunk.

And then he said that he knows that Fernando is planning something special for July but he doesn't know what. He said that he wont do it if they're only going to let him play two songs.

I think that's pretty much it. I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting but that's the gist of it.

Wow, it was a really cool interview. Thank you so much for sharing this! ^_^

The Steven thread is getting funnier by the minute, people repeating the same nonsense again and again.

That thread is the worst thing ever. I'm so fn' sick of some people justifying anything and twisting things in any way they can to defend the other three...

I actually decided to "quit" that thread before I lose my mind with all the nonsense.

I absolutely dread to think what Fernando is planning for AFD anniversary, it's going to be so fucking lame!

Im just going to have to ignore the shit out of it.

I feel ill, sick to my stomach that he's the guy planning it ffs and Fortus and Frank might have something to do with it.

I am glad my show is in June, I look forward to seeing the three, I really do. After that, I'm outta here.

Not to defend Fernando but I don't really think he's the one ruining everything. It's more likely that his master is to blame

I wish they would just ignore the 30th anniversary rather than ruin it with the lame shit this current bands management come up with.

Doesnt matter anyway without Izzy and Steven.

Cant watch that unfold. Just like I couldn't watch the hall of fame unfold and other things, I'll take a break

Don't you dare to go away! I need all the awesome people from this beautiful gang. You're all the best!

He said that they shut the lights out and turned the sound off at the Nashville show, I think? It was either Nashville or Argentina. He was kind of jumping back and forth between those dates when he was talking about that part.

I love that everyone in the other threads is trying to defend the Axl 10 seconds thing... He pretty much did the same thing to Izzy in 2006.

And @MillionsOfSpiders you aren't allowed to leave. Sorry, you're stuck with us.

 I can't with this guy.

Honestly, I don't think an AFD reunion is possible anymore. Steven has now spoken so much for the Holy Trinity's liking probably. Izzy seems to be like SO done with their shit and Axl, well, he is still Axl.

I don't think so either. I think the big 3 will tour until the hype dies down and then walk away with their loot and be done with it. Slash can fund his solo stuff again. Duff can retire or do whatever. Axl will have replenished his money to feed the leeches. It's a win/win for those 3.

I really hope Steven gets another gig at some point. I'd love to see him be successful with another band. Especially as a big :hahafyou: to the big 3.

With Izzy, I don't know... I really hope he doesn't do the one or two song thing for the 30th. He's better than that. :shrugs: Keep doing your solo stuff, Izzy, you don't need the goons! Or fuck it... just go drone race. Anything is better than being a part of the circus "machine".

I don't remember any talk about RQ or a third song.
