Wacky World of The Ominous Ninja Izzy Stradlin and NO! Gang

@BorderlineCrazy I suspect it's probably just me. It was in 2002ish when I saw Gilby and then I was only 21. I remember being seriously drunk (and stuff ) so I think I just ruined it for myself :shrugs:

I think he was supporting love/hate because I remember talking a lot to Keri Kelli about Slash (and stuff ).

@Archtop Wembley '91? I was there:headbang:Sometimes it's cool to be old:P

Wow, you and @Archtop are so extremely lucky!! Not only you got to see GNR with Izzy, you also saw an absolutely killer Skid Row show. The pro shot is out there (probably thanks to the Get The Fuck Out incident) and I've watched it like 50 times. Sebastian put on an amazing show and Rachel's bass sounded out of this world the whole show. What a band!! :headbang:

But that's the thing, I've seen Slash and Duff with Velvet Revolver in Sacramento before they went all Harvey Dent on us.

But once is not enough! I know Slash and Ned fucked up big time with this """reunion""" but Slash still is half man, half beast and all that

And I was going to see GNR when they were in San Fran (only an hour from me) but sold my tickets last minute. I never got to see GNR live before they split and it just feels so wrong to see a incomplete version of it.

You know it could be better but it still feels so much better than any other band that's out there. I saw Axl's solo band using GNR's name three times and it was annoying as fuck looking at the ticket and seeing that holy name attached to some random band but the shows were ok and seeing Axl was still special and nice

Or maybe I'm just afraid I'll go and like it. That's what they do, you know, they get you alone and the next thing you know you're hanging up Richard Fortus pictures on your wall and on the forum talking about the "partnership." :smiley-confused2:

I'm not speaking to you ever again if any of those things happen! :vomit:

Yes, whatever happened I'm sure it was your fault and not poor Gilby's :P

He's not a legend like the real GNR guys but he's a pretty decent performer... and stuff

True! Slash has been killing it during the shows too. I'll give him that. ;) I was never a CD fan but his version has made me warm up to a few songs. I really want to see Slash with the conspirators more than GNR but who knows if he'll ever go back to that now.

He looked so good when he was rockin' the facial hair.

I have mixed feelings about the facial hair

I bet Izzy doesn't remember it either, isn't this the trip were he did all his gear at once and spent 72 hours in a coma? Not liking the whiskers

Yeah probably from that time when Steven told Izzy they were in Japan and he didn't believe him. So Steven dared him to look at the window and said he'd suck his dick if he found a head of blonde hair. Then Duff walked under their window and...

Stizzy Stradler right there.

I'm pretty sure SMKC will be back. Actually, the fact that Slash accepted to get back in GNR without Stizzy might mean he knows this is a short term thing, a "let's tour the world, collect the money and then split" kind of thing. I expect 2018 to be either the return of the Stradler or the end of GNR, so we can see Slash doing his thing and releasing music again.

Absolutely, I'm not a fan of the employees  I do like Richard, though, I think he was probably the best member of Axl's solo band but he doesn't fit really well in real GNR. Give me my Indiana boy back! :takethat:

OK I will confess I don't remember it very well  I drank a lot of cheap cider on the drive down and was somewhat worse for wear, and it was bloody hot.

Nine inch nails opened and we only saw the tail end as we were late in. Skid Row I didn't really know the music at the time, they had a rant about the local council and read out a letter, banning them from singing a song if I remember correctly, had us all chanting Get the fuck out before singing it.

There was hell of a wait for Guns to come on stage, or at least it felt like it, and when they did it was like being caught in a riot. I was at the front of pitch but it was hard to see the stage, I had now been drinking for a long time. From what I remember they did a lot of new songs from illusions, which sounded great,  I think Axl ranted about Kerrang magazine and I rememebr thinking Oh no because Kerrang was my biggest source of information about the band at the time. Izzy did Dust and Bones, and that was it, Fan Girl born.

It was a long night, it took ages to get out of the car park, I destinctly remember vomiting out of the car window on the M25 where you can't pull over as there's no hard shoulder, so horribly sketchy I'm afraid and all my own fault, of course at the time I blamed it on sunstroke.

If you ignore the ambassador of skeleton porn at the back, you get a very cute Stizzy Stradler. :wub:

I love that pic so much. Izzy's little frown is so adorable.
