Gracii Guns
A piece of art that genuinely shocked me was seeing Corinne Day's My Bloody Knickers in the Tate Modern when I was 18. It's a tiny photo, but was the first time I'd seen that aspect of every woman's life in public discourse. She's a jobbing photographer at Vogue now, so that photo is still quite a contrast to her main body of work. Millions of photos of ridiculously priced clothes, worn by women who appear to not possess bodily functions, clothes that will never be dirtied. But my favourite is the one of her undercrackers

The missus has had to remove me from more than one exhibition by force before today. Went to the Tate Modern in Liverpool last year and it didn't end well. You don't have to like it all. But you don't have to make a scene either! From what I gather… I understand I'm a bit late to the party telling you not to make a scene though!

The first time, we waited in line for four hours to see him, in summer. It was still worth it. I did book the second time I went to see him. I've never been inside the Louvre. I should definitely do that one of these days/months/years. I've heard it's very small. I might be a bit underwhelmed. When I saw Raft of Medusa, it was tilted somewhat, because it didn't fit in the exhibition room. I seem to have a preference for HUGE art With regard to modern art, it seldom amazes me. I'm a bit like Dazey, if I can do it, it's not art. Unless it's a really cleverly thought out thing that makes you think. I don't get why these is one of the world's most expensive paintings:
DieselDaisy
Turner's The Fighting Temeraire, Nelson's finest English oak being dragged away to be mothballed. It speaks of an England that has been destroyed by the horrors of the industrial revolution, a lament for the old guard giving way to the new.

willl
Not really into art. Have visited the Tate Modern and the Van Gogh Museum but wasn't that impressed Im afraid. The Tate was f'n shite to be honest. Stupid shit like a glass of water on a shelf, or a tree branch, or a pile of bricks I'm quite fond of local artists. They're not professional artists but their work is better than a shitey pile of bricks Im sure An artist on my island does something called "Sketch A Day" and sells the original work for £50 every day, or will do a commission for the same price. Obviously it's not to the same standard as a glass of water, but I think these are pretty good:- More pics at https://www.facebook.com/lorrainebruceart/photos/ Edited December 6, 2016 by downliner

True, but maybe it helps when you're completely self centered cause your goal as an artist is to reflect yourself, your thoughts without letting others get in the way of your vision. Just saves time to be a shitbag and maybe artists don't like to not be themselves so they are more shitty cause they are not as considerate as human beings to their surroundings. The task is so challenging to make masterpieces anyway or good art. Or perhaps a lot of humans are just fuckin' assholes, and great artists are not known for their well balanced behavior.
