Normally, people who don't make mistakes are those painfully boring robots like Yngwie. I think it was on the Lisbon show (or Madrid?) that I commented about his Godfather solo, he made a few little mistakes in the beginning but then he came up with a brilliant solo that only he would play and that's what sets him apart from everyone else IMO. If you think he doesn't get criticized because he's Slash, then I think you're not paying attention. Just look at the comments towards Axl's vocals, people won't hesitate to say he's sounding like utter shit if that's their opinion. Last year, during the april shows (which were Slash's worst shows in the last 7 years IMO) there were people wondering if Slash was back on drugs and saying his tone was awful. Well, I saw Slash breaking strings two days in a row last year and playing like nothing happened. First day it was during Civil War and the second was right in the beginning of Double Talkin' Jive. There's no way that he's trying to bend notes flat or sharp on purpose, but he does it regularly on the same songs... It's jarring!
