That Michelle sounds absolutely fine to me. There's enough power coming through on the Youtube video that it wouldn't even occur to 99.9% of the people there to question whether he's saving his voice/singing falsetto/cheating/not as good as Axl/CD etc. The cool thing is, if he's careful, he can sing like that for another ten years. Why would anyone want him wasting his voice rasping the fuck out of the same tired, boring old Appetite and Illusions songs he's played at every show since 2001? He needs to save his real voice to sing the absolute shit out of Thyme and Atlas. Why would i want to go to an ice cream shop and get yogurt, that is basically what you are saying. Get real. Popular Post Lio
http://www.bfmtv.com/mediaplayer/video/700-000-spectateurs-etaient-presents-lors-du-concert-des-guns-n-roses-hier-soir-au-stade-de-france-962643.html First three minutes are about the show, with some footage of Jungle and Black Hole Sun. Not 700,000 people there, 70,000 apparently. I was there front row, and I'm kind of lost for words. I would just agree wholeheartedly with everything @xBrownstonex said. It was such a great, memorable night. So many people fainted and wanted out though! A few were taken away even before the show started! That must suck so much, being front row and having to leave before it begins. All through the show, people were being carried away. There was one girl who came crowdsurfing during SCOM, and once she got to the front she was jumping up and down, singing at Axl. Two security guys had to carry her off, one grabbing het by the legs, but she was still singing and Axl smiled at her. He was really amused by that. Security handed out water, but I overheard the security guy tell off the other guys for passing out too much water, as the water that was there, was all there was. They didn't have anymore. I'm sure that by the time Guns started, the water at our side was half gone. I feared the worst, seeing so many people faint already. Axl was beyond great, it's such a different feeling when you're right in front of him, and you can actually kind of interact with him a bit. You're so much more 'in' the show. Slash was great too, as always. I didn't see that much of Duff, as I was right in front of the catwalk, right side of it, but when he got on the catwalk, it was always great. Always really cool and reacting if people shouted and were enthusiastic. Axl always has his eye on the audience, you could tell. Before he stopped DTJ, I'd already noticed that he was looking in the crowd as if to check if everything was okay. So I wasn't really surprised he said something about it. But when he came on while Slash had just started DTJ, I was like: um, Axl, you're a bit early Only to see him tapping on Slash's back to ask him to stop playing. And then Axl said 'We love you' Lots of moments where I got a bit emotional, but then suddenly I couldn't keep from crying during the last solo and outro of November Rain. I've always thought it's one of Slash's greatest solos and I'd never thought I'd see it live. I saw it at Werchter before, but seeing it front row, with Slash standing there right in front of me, I couldn't help but bursting out in tears. It was so epic. It was a great night I'll never forget, can't think of any negatives to say (except being really scared I might faint myself ).

I did think Black Hole Sun sounded much better last night though. Over all a bit weaker from axl vocally I did notice last night that he was bringing an eensy bit of rasp to BHS, Yesterdays, and My Michelle, which I had not heard him do before on this leg of the tour. Toronto was still the best show vocals-wise that I've personally seen on NITL, Sorry in particular stood out at that show, though Slash's solos have stood out on at all the shows I've heard it at. Speaking of, at the hotel after the Prague show while getting his signature, I told Slash "I really liked your solo on 'Sorry'." "Thanks... Oh, wait, 'Sorry'? Heh, OK." I think he thought I was taking the piss Some photos of the pop-up shop: Note the two fire extinguishers in the following two pics:

The difference, the one that was confiscated was being held up over the person's head blocking the view of those behind them. There was a banner at Vegas off the right side of the stage as you look at it that stayed up the entire show b/c it never blocked anyone's view. That makes sense, if signs/banners block someone's view, they obviously should be taken down.

DieselDaisy
I wouldn't have have an use for any of this overpriced tat to be honest. What the heck is the purpose behind GN'R extinguishers? 'Are you supposed to say to yourself while brandishing one, 'look at how patriotic to GN'R I am being, my chip pan having set my house ablaze (along with all my relatives)?''. I bought a bullet logo shirt for a fiver from Asda; official as it had the black and white tag and is of high quality. I wear it as a bed shirt.

Popular Post Dean
I've been pretty close when I was in Gdansk and Prague, but not as good as where I was last night. I don't know if it's clouded my judgement, but I'm definitely leaning more towards that Paris show as my favourite from the 5 I've been to. What a beautiful city. Axl has been great to me, as has the band, throughout the shows. Axl slipped up a few times last night, but that was down to him losing concentration after trying to ensure everything was alright in the crowd. I made a surge forward when a mini pit happened at Jungle and left my friend a few bodies behind. I was close as was, but it took me even closer to the catwalk. I was maybe 6/7 people away from the Nightrain horns. If anyone has footage of Estranged, especially if it focuses on Axl, I'd highly appreciate it if you could upload it, as I'm certain Axl smiled and nodded at me. Check out this picture I took.

I'd agree that he'd have been better off saving his voice in 06-10 when nobody apart from hardcore cared and giving 100% for these shows but with that said I'd still rather he saved it now for when they tour new songs rather than take years off his career by rasping through the hits for stadiums full of people who are quite happy with his singing atm. They aren't going to tour new songs, if you don't realize that by now I can't help you. He'll tour new material with AC/DC long before Guns as he clearly cares more about Angus' band than his own.
