Even a clean shaven will have stuble Probably makeup like news anchors use. Even back in the day he either had some kind of beard or looked like he does now. Guys in their 20s have stubble too. It's not like GnR started when he was 12.

Just noticing the similarities or how one song was, maybe, inspired by the other.

Bitch about what songs are played or not played all you want (you still look dumb), but that's insanely impressive. Most popular bands play for two hours when they tour, with a static setlist. Guns have consistently played at least two and a half hours, and recently they've been clocking in at over three hour shows. I find that to be incredible, because aside from Bruce Springsteen, who really does that? I can only hope I get a show/setlist like this at one of the many shows I'm going to the rest of this year. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if this lineup finally goes and breaks the record set back in 2009. Couldn't agree more! But I can add Leonard Cohen and Paul McCartney from the elite list of 3-hour+ shows I've seen.

Popular Post username
So, that's it then. Yesterday it all came full circle for me. In 1997 thirteen year old me was watching The TMF (Dutch MTV) Top 90 of the 90's and I saw a video of GnR doing KOHD at the Mercury Tribute. It's right then and there that I got hooked on rock music. That's Genesis. Everything else I listen to today grew from there. Ok, wait, some credit to my dad who'd always played me great music as a kid, but at 13 you don't want to listen to what your dad played. Anyhow, last night I finally saw the icon's of that one performance play live together. I've been very critical of post-2007 GnR. I loved them in 2006, I didn't like them much in 2010 and I didn't even bother in 2012. But this was absolutely fucking ace. So many special goosebump moments in the setlist. Songs I hadn't even bothered to play for years all hit a homerun. Sure, Axl missed a few notes. And some songs were a little too high-pitched for my liking. And if I can nitpick for a moment the backdrops didn't really add much imo. But absolutely none of that matters in the slightest because they completely knocked it out of the park. Axl's voice was the best I'd heard him over the whole show. Slash didn't miss a step. Angus was an awesome bonus. But what I liked the most of all - in 2010 I thought there was no fire and fun in it at all. And that was back. Spirits were high and this just had a rekindled passion that I missed in GnR for years. Awesome show! I'll try and post some pics later. Edited July 13, 2017 by username
