Thanks man. I'll check out Taste. Have you been to thaxon. Is it over rated?

Yes I have been. It's legit. Very authentic place with incredible decor. I know the owners and they take the place very seriously.

Three more days! Fuckin stoked! Getting down there around 1. Anyone know any good bbq or burger restaurants? I'm staying about a mile from the dome.

Sugarfire.  Right by the dome on Washington Ave.  Get there early...  when they run out of certain meats that's it.

If I stopped for lunch there on my way into town around 12:30 or 1 on Thursday, would that be early enough?

You should be good to go.  Keep in mind that they smoke all their meat there... so when it's done, it's done.  They don't run out of everything at once.  For example, maybe the brisket will run out at 2, maybe the ribs at 4, etc....   So you should have some good food regardless.  The BBQ is amazing and the sides are too.  Very close to the dome.

Other hotels that are close...  Drury Inn's are nice..  free happy hours and good hot breakfast.  Pretty reasonable cost too.  The Hilton at the Ballpark is right across the street from Ballpark Village.  Good Luck!
