Just an FYI to those coming to St. Louis.  I live near there and am somewhat familiar with the city.  There are several bars within walking distance on Washington Street - most of them are west of the Dome, but there is a small Irish pub place about a block or so south east.  There is also a nice casino (Lumiere) almost right across the street from the Dome to the East. Attached to the casino is the 4 Seasons Hotel, and I would not be surprised if the band is staying there.

My guess is that there will be a lot of GN'R fans walking up and down Washington Street on Thursday late afternoon and it won't be hard to find pre-show fans to mingle with.

There is a pre show get together on Wednesday, July 26 at Hair of the Dog on Washington Ave, it starts at 7pm

I live downtown. Yes most of the bars are concentrated along Washington Ave to the west of the dome. It would be cheaper to park in the 1400 block and walk to and from the dome hitting up a few of cool places along the way and after the concert. Some solid options along Washington are….

Flamingo Bowl – Bowling alley with a great happy hour. Good Beer and food

Hair of the Dog - dive bar. Great beer list. No food

314 The City Bar – good beer selection and good hamburgers

Missouri Bar and Grille – Solid bar with good atmosphere. Good gyros.

Flannerys – Irish. good food

Lucas park Grille – fancier, but good food and nice outside patio.

Or you could walk a few blocks (or park) over on Olive Street which contains the following between 10thand 12th street…

Jack Patrick’s – Dive bar with beer awesome hamburgers

Crack Fox – Halloween/metal bar with good beer selection and pizzas.

Bailey's Range – Good Burgers and extensive beer list.

Hope this helps. I am super pumped. Let’s flood downtown a blast GNR out of every juke box downtown before and after the concert.

Can a mod move this over to main section?  Little more than 48 hours to showtime and it's a big one!

@RussTCB @alfierose

thanks!

I was planning to move it tomorrow, it just seemed a little early to do it now and I'm wary of it filling up with O/T stuff in the absence of proper updates.

Edit: Never mind it looks like Russ moved it. :max:

As I can see lot of tickets sold in last week, and stadium is  going to bee packed...

Ticketmaster plays games and removes tickets from sale to make it look like there are fewer remaining.  In the areas where it looks like every other row was sold (except aisle seats), you can be pretty sure they just took them off the inventory so giant blocks of tickets don't appear to be available.

They probably have sold a decent amount recently.  I remember the Orlando show last summer sold several sections out in the last week (which had be previously held from being on sale) before the show.
