I bought tix on a whim to zone 1...will be going on own (other 2 shows I'll be going w/ group of friends...)...wondering how it's gonna be in an open park-like setting!

Just bought Zone 1 tickets too - excited to see this venue and have always loved going to the F1 circuit there and other things on the island.

I have NO idea about anything regarding this venue...on an island...wha....?? please explain (I mean I could google it...but maybe u have insight)...take a farrie over? I'm sorta comtempating NOT going as its WED Buffalo (2 hr drive w/ 3 others). Then SAT is Montreal (I drive by myself! ahh for 6 hours) then stay in the area until MON for Ottawa's show (and then drive home w/ a gf probably the next day)....so sorta unsure if I'm 100% going to this show. I'm adventours but I have 2 small kids, a job, ...so I got tix just to be safe!!!

I think it's on the Ile de Notre Dame, in the middle of the Saint Lawrence River. It's pretty big - the Formula 1 track is on there, as well as the casino, and some of the old World's Fair buildings. You can drive there or take the subway. Very pretty.

Anyone have an idea where this will be placed? I've been looking at the park map of ile Notre Dame and can't find an area that fits the shape shown on evenko. If it's on the racing circuit, will we be able to use the stands/bleachers? Or is the ground sloped at all? Asking because I'm 5"1 and have tickets in zone 3 lol

oh thank you for the info...I may be taking the train to Montreal...a few Qs if you're able to help...if not, no worries!!...

1) what's the train staition name VIA rail?

2) I'm assuming the subway station is close to the rail system then?

3) do you know if the subway would be working once the show is over (like at midnight still)...do you know what the curfew is for the subway?

4) know of any cheap hotels/motels around there?...I'm searching but I gotta figure out the subway system I guess!

I'm assuming it will be held in the same area as Heavy MTL. If so, there's a slight slope to the field, but nothing drastic. No stands/bleachers if it's the same setup. This is a picture of the Heavy MTL setup:

It's basically a festival setup if it's the same as Heavy MTL.

Was this on ile notre dame though? I'm pretty sure heavy mtl was always on St. Helens island...hopefully I'm wrong though because that setup looks so much better than a flat terrain

Looking at a map, it looks like Heavy MTL is on St. Helen's, yeah. Does Parc Jean Drapeau span more than one island? I assumed it was contained to St. Helen's. So I could very well be wrong if that's the case - I've only been to that festival once, so I'm going off of that.

Parc drapeau includes St. Helens where there's festivals like heavy mtl, ile soniq, osheaga, also laronde and the biosphere. It also includes notre dame island which has the casino and the racetrack. So yeah it's divided in two. And gnr are for sure playing on the racetrack. Also in a newspaper they were calling it a "new concert location" so unfortunately I don't think it's the same place as the main heavy mtl stage :/

I have 2 GA1 tickets I'd be willing to sell 20$ below face value if anyone wants to buy em so I can upgrade to PIT now that they released more -_- lol I was able to secure one during the original public sale but let it go cuz I've been to see gnr alone too many times and figured I'd bring a friend this time

BTW for all you outta towners, I'm pretty sure the rib fest at the old port is going on that same weekend
