I have to drive in Chicago on Wednesday for a business trip. It's my first time driving in a city that big and I'm anxious because the interchanges all look really confusing

I would be anxious too.  I feel for you.  So maybe you miss an exit, you know?  Try and give yourself some wiggle room.

Have you been there before?  Maybe park in the outskirts and bus or El train in?  Once you're there, The Loop should hopefully get you to a lot of where a business trip might take you.

I love Chicago!  Great city!

I'm not as concerned with missing exits, it's more the eight lanes of traffic and Illinois drivers that concern me . The two meetings I have are in the suburbs but I have to take I-90/294 in and then the tollway home.

Good luck! :P

It's really not bad driving in the suburbs, except right at rush hour(s).  Just so ya know, I-294 and much of I-90 are also Tollways.  Hope you have an I-Pass, then just go with the flow.

Oh, that was silly of me to assume theyd likely be down town. :)

I too live close to an area that is widely considered to have interesting drivers that many fear.  Best of luck!

Early shifts at work five days this week, having to get up at 3:15 am when you are a night person and like staying up late really sucks ?

I was like that back in February. My job at the gas station wanted me to work opening shifts at 4:30 AM. I switched back to second shift after a couple weeks because I was pretty much wasting my day trying to catch up on sleep and then going to bed early to be up early. It's a vicious cyle

Got about 2 hours sleep last night, up at 3:15 am, worked until 1:30, came home, got something to eat and took a two hour nap. Thank God I am off tomorrow, but have 2 more early days Friday and Saturday....?

To make things worse had a real nut case that came in work, some crazy guy scaring everybody yelling he was "searching for the light" holding up a huge pair of cardboard eyeglasses to his face. Scared two women with little kids really bad until two big men defended them. Our manager escorted him outside, where he proceeded to lay on the car of the women. The older woman saw him on her car and ran outside yelling at him to get off her car, followed by my manager. He got off the car and was chasing my manager across the parking lot. Cops finally arrived and had to use the taser on him, paramedics put him in an ambulance and hauled him off for a psych evaluation...??? Gotta love life in a big city. ?

I've come to realize that trying to buy a house in Southern California is a completely impossible task. Every single time I find something I like (after months of searching) there will already be multiple offers or it's already pending. :max:

God must owe me some kind of favor with this girl. I suck at talking to new people and I've shot myself in the foot at least four or five times while talking to her and she was really cool and understanding about it. Like there's only been one awkward moment over the last four days.

How long should I wait between getting a girl's number and asking her to hang out? We've been texting for about a week now and I'm thinking of asking her to hang out but I'm not sure. I figure if we hang out first, a date would run more smoothly.

PS- Apologies to anyone who gets annoyed with my constant posting about this topic. You guys give better advice than most of the people I know

What @Oldest Goat said. A week's wait is long enough, in my opinion. In my twenties *cough* I might have been slightly annoyed/disappointed if the guy hadn't asked me out by then. So if she's been texting with you all this time, she'll be in. ;)
