Also, what's the policy on posting certain types of Axl ass images in here? I might have found a couple from the older days. :smiley-confused2:

Don't bother. All of them were posted ages ago, probably in the old Women's thread..... Not sure if @Frey have indexed those??

Beautiful review, princess @Lumikki! So happy, you had a great time. You're going to Vienna too, right?

Just a few comments, if I'm allowed :P

- Thanks for the Andrei pic, it's much appreciated  :P About his jacket, lol, he was wearing the same in Lisbon, but it was night and the fuckin thing sparkled with the stage lights, it was giving him the full pimp vibe, I remember I was just thinking 'Duuude, what the fuck with that jacket?' The same happened with Axl's SCOM jacket, awful :rofl-lol:

- So the security guy with the long beard was nice to you, giving fist bumps... I swear I was scared to death with him. He saw someone with  a go-pro and the look on his face and the way he told the other security guy to go get the camera scared the shit out of me :nervous:

- Beta and Meegan, I think they really are close. I noticed they comment on each others instagram posts a lot. It's good, I think. More power to the Slaxl :shrugs:

- Axl never leaving the room, what can we do?  But at least he's coming to meet some fans now and going to soundchecks, focus on the small victories.

- I'm sad you didn't caught drooling Slash, it's worth it :P

Okay, where to start. I guess chronologically...

I arrived in Munich and decided to check out the town a bit first. Went by the guys' hotel (nothing much happening there) and went to see the Pop Up- Store. Lots of people there and even more confused people wondering what the hell was going on. Didn't buy anything though because I'm neither Axl nor Andrei and can't afford leather jackets for 1000€ or whatever. It was funny that the Guns N Roses Pop Up Store was on "Rosenstraße" = "Rose Street" though. Very fitting :P

I soon decided to go to the venue and when I arrived there I planted my ass under a tree right next to the entrance gate. So I spent all the waiting time sitting in the shadow. Best line up experience ever lol. When the gates opened I ran as fast as I can, but most places at the rail were already taken. I later realized that nearly all these people standing at the rail already had VIP wristbands. Both the more expensive "Early Entry Golden Circle tickets" and the actual ridiculously over-priced for what you get VIP tickets. Surprised they sold so many of the early entrance and the "Meet the stage crew for over 1000 Euro" tickets. But whatever, I still got second row and it wasn't even crowded. I'm annoyed that cameras weren't allowed in because from the spot I had and with no one bumping into me I could have taken some kick ass shots. But I saw Tako at the show as well and I hope she at least managed to smuggle her camera in somehow to take some awesome pics.

The opening acts were boring and I was just waiting for them to be over. I passed the time by watching Kat and Andrei mostly, since they were standing right in front of me. Andrei for some reason took a ton of pictures and videos of that girl from The Kills or whatever they were called. Funnily enough, the people next to me kept bitching about Andrei, saying that "that guy" looked like a complete douchebag and making fun of his leather jacket. They had no idea who he was, but apparently even casuals aren't immune to Andrei's douche vibes lol

Here's a pic for you @dgnr

Then, finally, the GNR intros on the video walls started playing. I noticed they had some Celtic and Viking looking imagery in there. I don't know if they just forgot to change the intro from Ireland or if this is their intro for all of Europe, but it was cool. Anyway the most important part:

The show. But what can I even say that hasn't already been said a million times by people who have gone to previous shows? They were great. All three of them.

Axl sounded great (couldn't hear any Mickey or whatever in a live setting like this), moved around a lot and was in a really great mood. He was all smiles the entire evening.

Slash was amazing too of course. I really enjoyed his solo spots, which is not something I'm usually into, but Slash makes boring guitar solos worth watching and listening to. I was also happy to see him wearing his black silk shirt. He looks so much better and classier in that than in dumb T-Shirts depciting orgies (or whatever it was that he recently wore ).

Duff was great too, as usual. He wanders around the stage, looking like the coolest bassist ever. And I also got him to notice me and he smiled at me. That alone makes him the best in my book :P:wub:

Can't really say anything about Frank/Dizzy/Fortus/Melissa. I barely even noticed that they were there. Beta, Meegan, Nando, Andrei, Kat and Slash's bodyguard managed to draw my attention much more than they did throughout the show. Though I actually did notice Melissa's singing. Which is really nice. So I guess Melissa wins this one.

Other random things:

- Estranged was wonderful. I got a bit misty-eyed watching them perform that song in the same stadium the Estranged video was filmed at. After all these years. And with the same three people again. Kinda magical.

- Axl said "I remember this!" (talking about the stadium I guess) early on in the show and also "So this is what daylight looks like! Interesting.":P

- Yesterdays! It's one of my favorite GNR songs and I'm so happy they played it. Sounded great too.

- Also was very happy about them playing Don't Cry. I like Don't Cry more than Patience, but was expecting them to play Patience, so I was pleasantly surprised.

- Also was surprised about TIL. Not exactly my favorite CD song, but it was interesting to hear and see live. I liked the way Axl sang it and Slash's solo was beautiful.

- Actually, now that I think about it, I really enjoyed Slash (and Duff) playing all the CD songs. More for the symbolic value than for the songs themselves (I like Better, but I can't stand TIL and CD), but still. Now I only wish they'd play some different CD songs (the ones I actually like) or some VR or Slash's solo stuff and I could die a happy GNR fan.

-At some point there was a really obnoxious girl who was trying to force her way into front row and kept throwing herself into everyone and bounced around crazily. Security pulled her out so fast she didn't even understand what was happening to her. The grim looking big guy with the long beard (I don't know what his name is, but I have seen him in a lot of pictures and videos) waved at her to come to the rail and she was all excited thinking she'd get special treatment or get to go backstage or something, but the guy just grabbed her, pulled her over the rail and told another security guy to escort her out of the stadium. She looked so confused and then indignant about what was happening. The other people in the crowd cheered when she was pulled out and GNR's grim security guy gave us all fistbumps lol. It was pretty funny. The guy clearly knows who he is working for and how Axl wants unpleasant people in the crowd to be dealt with. I've never seen security act so fast at a concert. In my experience, obnoxious people at concerts usually keep being obnoxious while security does nothing about it, so that was a nice change.

- I watched Beta and Meegan for a while. They appeared surprisingly close. Not sure if Meegan's just faking it because she has to or if she genuinely likes Beta, but yeah :shrugs:

- I did not notice people being bored by Coma or CD songs or whatever people like to claim usually. People around me were thrilled by Coma and sang along to it as well as the CD songs and cheered loudly for them. But then again I was right at the front where you'd presumably find the most hardcore fans.

- Slaxl: Not much happened, it was like @dgnr described in her review: Axl tends to touch Slash's back and arms a lot, but nothing really noteworthy apart from that.

- Drool report: No drool on Slash face as far as I could see :P

The next day I did some sightseeing in Munich and also stopped by the guys' hotel again. People were still waiting there, expecting that the guys would have to come out any moment now, but I saw Andrei leave the hotel and shortly after Susan and Grace left the hotel too, presumably to go shopping or something. So I figured they weren't going to leave any time soon and went away again because I didn't feel like pointlessly waiting around.

I was right, when I returned some time later, they still hadn't left the hotel. But the ominous black cars they use and the police were circling around the block, so I stayed and creeped around a bit. I overheard some security guys planning how they'd go about getting everyone out of the hotel. I was pretending to study a restaurant menu, but as soon as they realized I was wearing a GNR shirt, they moved away a couple of meters so that I couldn't overhear them anymore and continued their very secret conversation in hushed voices. They acted like they were the FBI or something

Their secret plan seemed to basically consist of distracting and deceving the waiting people with decoy cars and stuff like that. They'd park one of their cars right in front of one entrance and people would run there. Meanwhile the guys could sneak out in the back and get into another waiting car there. A lot of people fell for that when Axl finally left the hotel. Then they heard the commotion from around the corner and came running back. They didn't miss much though, Axl crawled out of some backdoor next to the Hofbräuhaus and disappeared straight into his car. Duff and family had done the same thing over an hour earlier (though Susan posed and waved for a bit). Slash managed to mysteriously disappear without anyone at all seeing him. According to rumors he'd already left in the morning, but Meegan was still there, so who knows.

Anyway, I wasn't surprised by the whole thing being such a big production because I had already read about the various tactics they used to travel around in Craig Duswalt's book (among other things, they used to dress up other people as Slash and Axl to trick the waiting fans while the real Slash and Axl sneaked out somewhere else), but I'm not convinced that kind of thing is still really necessary these days.

All of this took place over the span of 2 or 3 hours I guess. Melissa, the fitness trainer, Natalia and the nannies were some of the first to leave. Duff and his family left some time later. Axl was the last (as far as I know, because I left too after Axl left). I can't help but wonder what the McKagans, Melissa etc. are doing meanwhile. Do they just sit around at the airport waiting for Axl to get his ass there?

Oh yeah, the concierge at the hotel also said that he'd talked to Duff and that Duff was a really nice guy and a "beautiful man" lol. He also said that he hasn't talked to Axl because Axl never left his room. But what else is new

Also @MillionsOfSpiders, since you were speculating about their hotel in London- I figured out why they were staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Munich and not at the Four Seasons: Apparently they were banned from ever staying at the Four Seasons again back in the 90s after they thrashed an entire floor there  Or so some knowledgable Munichians told me. So I guess the Mandarin is just an alternative solution to them and not their hotel of choice and they probably won't be staying there.

Anyway, here's some shitty pictures (I didn't take many because my phone's camera sucks badly):
