bucketfoot
Can't believe I was in bed and missed this! That was really cool! Big Shot was quality and Highway To Hell was as ever. Billy Joel just went up in my estimation.

2414225
Is Axl trolling Randy Orton with his out of nowhere moves? BTW. Pink is/was an Axl/GnR fan. Don't know what to think about this appearance though. It makes no sense. He surely is a Joel fan since he is into Elton, but I don't understand why he spent so much time creating an industrial nu metal album when he is clearly into classic rock and piano pop.

Gunner55
Same as why I don't mind that they keep the seeker. Just like seeker, big shot suits his low voice and he sounds great and requires seemingly little to no effort from him. Well after the end of any given leg. We don't see them at all. All we get are stupid posts in their social media. And a none sense interview with Melissa being called a "rock icon" So we got to see Axl on stage with a real icon, Billy Joel. And Duff also went to see the show. It is good see them doing something and being in the public eye when they are not on tour.

I'm fine with Elton, Queen, Joel, Springsteen...i simply don't understand why he didn't do that for over 20 years. Instead of that he wore braids and football shirts while spending 13 million bucks creating an industrial album. Big Shot is really out of tune. Highway to hell is boring. Not satisfied with this performances at all. Would have prefered a statement like this. Edited May 14, 2017 by 2414225
evergreen_layne
Agree except I wish it was industrial. I wanted it to sound like OMG but it didn't. Why not put Silkworms on there? It seems like Axl didn't want to take any more chances after he got made fun of for "My World"

dalsh327
I could see Billy showing up to play November Rain. Pink had performed with Billy before, but this also opens up Pink singing with GNR... it wasn't that long ago GNR had aerial dancers, but she puts on a great show. Billy's still writing music but he's composing suites. He said he may or may not release them, but he would have someone in the classical world play them, which he had done with "Fantasies and Delusions". Axl's mentioned wanting to compose along the same lines. A lot of people past and present in GNR have done some composing for soundtracks & commercials, and is a nice chunk of revenue. Axl caught himself from almost screwing Big Shot up a few times, but we know how much he loves to rehearse... he still pulled it off. Hoping for more Axl guest appearances in the near future.
