The announcement didn't live up to the hype no matter which way you look at it. But the arena tour itself might end up being something really cool, if at least one of the shows includes the words: "this is a brand new song."

It was fun to speculate but the hype was really self-generated. The video didn't suggest anything other than new tour dates really. Maybe people who were expecting some kind of Appetite related news have reason to be slightly disappointed but that's about it.

Anyone who expected new music or any kind of DVD release is living on a different planet.

Though, truthfully, I've heard worse robo-call polls by politicians who want to wave the results around to show the support for whatever their position is.

I think we got what we expected in a lot of ways. Anyone that's been around long enough knows that this wasn't their way of introducing a new album or song. They simply don't advertise when it's important...they disappear when they release something

for me, I didn't pay too much about the "hype" and I suspected like a live show in LA or something...so personally I was/am super excited for more tour dates as I love attending thier shows! (I personally don't see a new album in the near/distant future...I know that's what most fans want)
