It's more that they are both rock, not really that serious, but still listenable. I don't think they have this mystique. I sort of grew out of Slipknot in the last couple years, but I'll still listen if they're on. Maybe I'll get back into it when their next album comes out. Stone Sour, however, I think is a really cool band. Next time they come around Iowa I'm going to a show. I'm really stoked for their new album next week too. I was really surprised it was Nickleback, it sounded to heavy for their brand of pop rock.
