ludurigan
Purple Rain by Prince gets a 3CD plus Live DVD reissue "The real finds are (...) ten outtakes from the (...) sessions. (...) A few of these tracks were widely circulated on bootleg (...) but there are several whose existence has only been rumored. [Some of these tracks] were all played live (...) but they're presented in their studio versions. (...) Having this music officially available feels like a gift" What does that has to do with GNR? Well, the very same words above (taken from the AllMusic.com review of Purple Rain reissue) could have been written about a decent GNR reissue of Appetite. "The real finds are ten outtakes from the Appetite sessions. A few of these tracks were widely circulated on bootleg like the acoustic demos of "November Rain" and Stones' "Jumping Jack Flash", but there are several whose existence has only been rumored. Among them are early studio recordings of songs released years later by the band on the double album Use Your Illusion: "Perfect Crime", "You Could be Mine" and a legendary 15 minutes version of "November Rain". Other highlights are the never before circulated "The Plague", recorded on the pre-production sessions for Appetite. Other highlights are early studio recordings of "We're an American Band" , "Ain't Going Down", "Indiana Aint My Kinda Town" and (...). [Some of these tracks] were all played live (...) but they're presented here for the first time in their studio versions. (...) Having this music officially available feels like a gift" will that ever happen? Fitha_whiskey
Grab my cash please!!!! Seriously, that could be easily done with literally no extra work from the band. Just an engineer to work over the demos a little, if even that. Just fuckin put it out. We all know it ain't gonna happen.

Sunset Gardner
this could easily happen if axl and Team Yes get their act together. an afd deluxe reissue, tour, dvd, a celebration concert (or whatever else you can think of) can ALL happen, it's ALL possible. it's all gonna come down to two things: axl's ego and Team Yes' willingness to push him to do what's right. because you have to realize, the hype and the praise around the record and the afd5 (real guns) will only further shed light on the illegitimacy of Chinese Democracy and the employee lineups who wrote and toured it for their boss. is axl ready to do that? i hope so. gnfnrs1972
I would bet money that if they released something like this several people on here would say, I like the demos better they sound over produced or they weren't mixed right or they should have included this song or they shouldn't have included that song or it should have been one cd not two or bitch bitch bitch bitch Did I miss anything? YourMother'sDruthers
Yes! Then I can finally here that LEGENDARY 17 minute version of Welcome To The Jungle with the 13 minute tease intro, where Slash repeats the opening riff in the studio, doing the "Call and response" Hulk Hogan "hand to ear" listening gesture between the playing of each riff... yes, the same one dj ashba copied on stage to tease us during shows! Where do you think he got it from??????

ludurigan
looks like every week there is a band offering massive deluxe reissue with loads of unreleased material to its fans except gnr of course! King Crimson to Release 27-Disc Box Focusing on Early ’70s Era By Nick DeRiso September 8, 2017 3:00 PM The underappreciated period between King Crimson‘s genre-defining 1969 debut and their John Wetton-era reinvention is the subject of a new box set titled Sailors’ Tales. The 27-disc set includes new stereo remasters of In the Wake of Poseidon (1970), Lizard (1970) and Islands (1971). Extras include an expanded version of 1972’s Earthbound, featuring 1972 live recordings; six discs of 1971 concerts recorded in Germany and the U.K.; and nine discs of recordings from King Crimson’s U.S. tour in 1972 – many of which have never been released before. Sailors’ Tales is rounded out by four Blu-rays and a pair of DVDs featuring concert footage and hi-res versions of the material found elsewhere on the box. The booklet features reproduced memorabilia and new liner notes written by Sid Smith, current Crimson member Jakko Jakszyk and David Singleton. Sailors’ Tales, which is due on Nov. 3, “documents a crucial period in King Crimson’s history, and shows it to be brimming with innovation, experimentation and boundary-pushing energy,” a news release says. It’s available for pre-order now at the King Crimson shop.
