I think Slane was the first time? It was the first time I heard it anyway.

I can't choose either. Always loved Speak Softly, Love, but I love Johnny B. Goode too. It's something totally different.

Don't even recognize it, just sounds like garbled distorted wah guitar over a backing track. Godfather theme is much better, hell I'd rather hear Richard's Bond theme replacing ''Johnny B. Goode'' :P

I was born the year after AFD came out, and I was 4 when GNR took their bows in Argentina in 1993. Slash playing the Godfather intro to Sweet Child was one of those "never thought I'd get the chance" moments to see live. JBG is great, but Speak Softly has more nostalgia for me with this band.
