TheRipper75
Any other fans of Rod here? I grew up listening to him, my Mum is a massive fan so I'm familiar with a lot of his songs. The Killing of Georgie and Rhythm of my Heart are my faves by him
bucketfoot
I'm a big fan of his earlier, rawer stuff. Not so much the later stuff but his voice is amazing. Even later on he produced some crackers like this.... ....and this.... ....or maybe not.
DieselDaisy
I'm not a fan but he recently played my cricket club, 17,000! It is money for the club I suppose.

Not cool on the field afterwards, which had this big ridge running down it, which was presumably where the front of the stage was perched, and also had these mysterious circles in the deep.

I wouldn't go that far! It just means our groundsman would have had extra work to do, replanting grass on the barren areas. It'll be back to normal in a week or so - if it is not already? (I was up yesterday but did not really notice).

dontdamnmeuyi2015
My mom loved Rod! she saw him play Madison Square Garden many times in the early 70's. also when Rod played with The Faces. These guys would come out an hour or so late, with their wine bottles in their hands and rock for 2 hours. No one complained about Rod being late, because he was freakin amazing. My mom said when she would get her hair cut in Paul McGregor's salon there was a huge poster of Rod on the wall. His albums rocked!
TheRipper75
I'd like to see Rod live but I think his voice sounds shot now

Yeah, his stuff up to, sort of, mid/late 70s was really good (especially late 60's/early 70's), after that.... well.... tread very carefully. Faces were great!
