Stupid thread, just didn't like the way you posted at all. And you forgot there's a difference between rock and rock n' roll, I posted it in Anything Goes and there was a discussion. I mean, Johnny B. Goode and Slither are both "rock", but one is "n' roll" while the other isn't.

Punk rock all the way for me, i do dabble with other types but i always go back to my first love. People say its basic and they're probably right but it has no pretensions, its full of attitude and energy and most importantly, it stands the test of time. Pistols, Ramones, Clash, Buzzcocks, Damned, Minor Threat, Descendents, Replacements, Black Flag, the list goes on, and its influenced practically everything half decent that is around today.

People who call GnR metal are just plain wrong. Maybe some very slight early heavy metal influences. But that's as far as I'll go.
