Flea from these, but IMO the best ever is John Entwistle (RIP) from the Who he was so so so much ahead of his time. Just check out his bass line on My Generation and remember that the song was done in the 60'ties.

Eh , I'd put Entwhistle on that list , especially cause that basslines in "Emience Front" are awesome and listen to a lot of the earlier Who material , really great bass work . Another bassist who don't get enough credit is Cliff Williams ( AC/DC) some seriously killer grooves .
