Big Boy Sixxx
im bassing in my new band, and will be bassing in my current band once we find a singer who can scream like a bastard, and i was just wondering if bass pedals were worth buying, it sounds good as it is. one of my bands is a dark rock band with melodic, sing along style choruses and the other is going to be a hardchore punky band with shredding guitars.so is it worth getting a bass distortion pedal or do they sound wanky? santana
Depending on what kind of amp you have, a bass pedal might come in handy. Most of the modern amps I've played through, leave a lot to be desired. There's never enough bottom end for me. A bass pedal would help, if bottom end is what you're looking for.

mr-fukaji
i use distortion and a pitchshifter on my bass. sounds fucking great i reckon. Bass is a westone thunder 1A, pedals are a big muff, turbo rat, zoom 707 II and a BOSS Ps-3 Pitchshifter Delay.
