Yamisonic
Choose! For me, it's David, sure, Waters did some amazing stuff and could sing, but Gilmour's guitars/singing are superior IMO.

johnezz
ARGH! Omg Null Vote, wow, this is a really hard dicision. Both are amazing.Gilmour is one of my Guitar heros, he's amazing, he also has such soothing vocals.Yet Rog is a genius, He was the main songwriter and the frontman and creative force. They both are amazing, i couldnt vote one or the other. Lumiere
Roger Waters. Incredible visionary, fantastic lyrics. Gilmour ruined Pink Floyd.
alexa
Waters..........although i love Gilmour, Waters is just a genius imo.
DirtyDeeds
Waters is amazing with or without Pink Floyd. There is an ever-so-slight yet noticeable thing missing from Waters' solo albums, which is the Gilmour touch. But in Gilmour's solo albums and in Pink Floyd post-Waters, there is such an obvious huge mundo-factor missing. It's not even close to the same. Lumiere
driving bass<{POST_SNAPBACK}>9 times out of 10, if you hear a good bassline on a Floyd track, Dave's playing it.

johnezz
Although Roger wrote most of the music, he didn't always like recording it, on quite a few tracks Dave played bass, more inparticular when things got a bit uneasy in the Floyd camp, the song Dogs for example, the bassline in that is done by Gilmour, and it is also considered one of the best Floyd basslines too.Gilmour is defantly talented, he was an awesome guitarist, great vocalist, and could do bass and keyboards (he did keyboards in Momentary Lapse or Reason and The Division Bell)Roger strengh is in his creativeness and lyrics, he has a vision that no other musican has, he is very original. Plus he could sing, he's vocals on the Wall and Animals suited the music very well. Plus in concerts for The Wall he was an excellent frontman.Like i said though, you cant seprate them, they complete one another, they are in my opinion the 2nd strongerest songwritering Duo (after Lennon and McCartny) Edited June 18, 2005 by johnezz

Careful_With_That_Axe
a not so obvious reason why Roger Waters is incredibly superior...He wrote one of the best bass lines of all time... LET THERE BE MORE LIGHT.
Lumiere
Roger did, to be fair to him, write/play that bass part.
Rumin
Roger was much more creative, I'll give him that. I enjoy David Gilmour's solo music and vocals a lot more though. I voted for Gilmour, but they both win in different ways.
