Battlehawk
As I am all sure, we have heard our share of guitar solos, but to you, what is the greatest?Definitely-Free Bird comes to mind as well as Estranged and StairwayAnd especially Eddie's "ERUPTION" comes in close, I love that solo but not my greatest.but no my friends-it would have to be the ending solo on Metallica's JUMP IN THE FIRE on Kill 'Em Allfor anyone who has the record, just dig that solo, it is fast as a mother fuck and gets so damn loud, kirk re-did Dave's solo wellBut what to you is the greatest guitar solo? johnezz
Yeah i agree Freebird is a mind blowing solo, and Eruption is just jaw dropping (im learning that on guitar right now)But for me hmmmm,Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood, Live at Montreux 1982Whoa this is the most amazing solo live, i aint seen anything like it, its just wow, im speechless over it, anyone who plays guitar has to buy that DVDRitchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) - Child In TimeAh yes, Ritchie, the original shredder, and the best in my opinion, Child In Time solo is just amazing, a very epic solo for an epic song. I love it.Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne) - Mr. CrowleyFor some reason even after listerning to Mr Crowley well over 100 times i still get chills listerning to the solos, they are amazing and yet sad because randy didnt live for much longer.David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) - Comfortably Numb, i prefer his live rendition of this soloWow, Comfortably Numb doesn't need any introductions, Gilmour is just a pure genuis, CN solo is just bursting with emotion and passion. So yeah, those are my 4 favourite solos. Yamisonic
Woah.Beatles - Octopus's GardenWHAT A SOLO. Even though it's short, George does one of his greatest solos. Beatles - While My Guitar Gently WeepsHarrison song. Eric Clapton on lead. The Beatles. Do I need to say any more?Led Zeppelin - Stairway To HeavenI think this needs no commentPink Floyd - Comfortably Numb, TimeI cant decide which I like most. CN I think. They're great.I think that's it.EDIT: Oh I forgot! The Don't Danm Me Solo! So cool. SCOM also has one of the awesomest ever. And, how could I forget, my favourite solo, the one at the end of Nightrain, which kicks off in the last chorus. I also like the solo on That's What It Takes by George Harrison, man, what a great song! Edited June 20, 2005 by Yamisonic
