*ParadiseCityGirl* Posted December 31, 2005 Share Posted December 31, 2005 i totally agree. i am totally stuck in the 80s, even though i was never really there... i wish i had lived then, wish i had been a teen back then... it sucks now. its either short lived rap hits, which mostly sound the same, or wanna-be rockers who think they're good. i wish i had lived in the time when Gn'R were on top, and touring all the time.. i would have gone to every concert.. but thats it, and Gn'R still rock to me. i drive my best friends crazy talking about them! i love axl soo much. my 2 cents..<{POST_SNAPBACK}>i fukin agree with you there mate the 80's was the best time to live in Oh don't even get me started on how i'm stuck in the 80's! Well, I don't like alot of the clothing and stuff they had then,...but MUSIC was fucking definatley at it's peak in the 80's IMO. Wish I coulda experienced that part of it anyway... Haha, ANYWAY, I did my homework and checked them out and fell in love. I'm usually into the acoustic stuff but I have a high appreciation for the electric guitar. I have a good friend who is into Gn'R. I usually bring up the Welcome to McDoogles thing when I talk to her, haha. The more I got into Gn'R, the more I noticed the shirts that students were wearing at my high school. It's a nice thought that rock n roll isn't dead in this age group. My former biology teacher whom I TA for is a Gn'R fan. She's 24 and pretty rad. Most of my friends don't know who Gn'R are. The friend who I mentioned earlier is into My Chemical Romance, HIM, and yaddy yadda. Yeah, ew, right? I was listening to November Rain when my friend called me and she asked, "What the hell is that?" And I said, "It's Guns N' Roses, damn it!!!" I'm making progress with her. WiLLy"The Kid" Posted January 1, 2006 Share Posted January 1, 2006 A week ago...I tried to show a girl New GnR coz she REALLY liked them...as a band from the 80's you know...and I tried to show her it's new lineup and new Axl and KOHD from Rio (which I think it's beutiful romantic verision) but......at first she enjoyed watching Axl and Beta speech but as soon as she saw Robin Finck and Buckethead in the band...she just...I don't know how to tell this...well she looked UPSET! ...and than I took time to tell her anything important that happened since the breakup and till 2002 VMA's and I noticed she wasn't focused anymore. And I noticed she was watching TV while I was in the mood of preaching about the band....And when I showed her a song Sweet Child o' Mine from Detroit 2002...when she saw him with bides...I saw her face again and LOST ALL my HOPES...to crate another New GnR fan!
