From what I have read the Slash part is actually true. I think it goes for Buckethead as well.

After they played the Halloween show in Florida someone posted a review on HTGTH that they were not allowed into the venue because they had Slash and BH costumes on. I will see if I can find it.

So yea, I don't expect a reunion any time soon.

I can also see why it might have been done to prevent fighting in the venue by the fans. Who knows really....

If you go to Guns N' Roses shows dressed as Slash, in 2006, you are a douche.

So, Axl basically is an anti-douche, and he is trying to have douche-free shows, right ? So why is he touring with Sebastian Bach ? There's something wrong. :drevil:

Bach isn't a douche. And what's wrong with douche free shows?

It'd be like not inviting you to a birthday party - because you're a douche.

Maybe it was security venue and not band´s or management´s decision. Don´t jump into conclusions and give Axl the benefit of the doubt. Think about it, it´s a silly idea and this hasn´t happened before, Gnr have been touring since May and this is the first time we´ve heard something like this. ;)

Yeah, sure. When they didn't let Slash himself attend a new gnr show at Las Vegas, the idea probably came from the guys in charge of the security...

Think about that really it was Axl's second gig in basically 8 years. Beside's at that point to there was still a lot of heat between the band.

 no dude, it was Doug Goldstein´s idea not to let Slash attend the gig.Axl knew about it later but he had nothing to do with it. And again,I think this is all bullshit.

I agree, but some of the people going there do think Slash is still in the band, also Axl must have known (when he decided to continue with GN'Rs name) that he will be handcuffed to Slash for rest of his life, which makes this rule stupid.

Still, what fool does around dressed like Slash?

Surely, if you dressed like him - you'd at least know his current status...

I was also at the Toronto show. Security on haggled me about my signs I had a Izzy sign. If you had Slash stuff such as a t-shirt they wouldn't allow it. It's a safety issue think about a large portion of people still hate Slash for leaving and security also may have thought it would have aggrovated Axl or started a Fortus Slash debate leading into a fight...

Come on, no one hates Slash for leaving. How could you possible hate Slash for leaving the bullshit circus GNR had become? Especially when Axl's trying to bring in these shredders like Dave Navarro and Zakk Wylde, Slash probably saw that as writing on the wall. Think about how insulting that is as a musician. That'd be like the New England Patriots drafting Brady Quinn in the first round of the NFL draft, wouldn't Tom Brady be pissed? If anyone hates Slash for leaving, you're fucking stupid. End of story.

So you're going to sit there and try to tell that you weren't fucking pissed when Slash left? People are pissed at Slash for going into VR when he was better off in his Snakepit. Now he's working with a fairy who can barely sing. I never said I did but there's defintely people who still hate him for leaving.

Just read this on another board :

"buddy of mine asked me the other day if i was going to go to the gnr show when it comes to Winnipeg. i said, "Fuck, No"

he then tells me that I wouldn't be allowed in to the show if i went.

I said, "What the fuck you talking about? because i look like Slash?"

his brother worked security when Gnr played in Toronto...and they were told that ANYONE who looked like Slash, wearing a top hat, impersonating Slash, would to have thier ticket taken away and they were to be escorted out of the building. it's actually written into the contract.

i was thinking about going, and wearing my top hat just for shits'n giggles, but then i thought "better" of it.

he got his brother on the phone, and i talked to him about it, he said that guns went on at 20 minutes to 12 and they played with the house lights on the whole set because the city has a by law that any shows, no matter what, the houselight have to be on after midnight, i think it's to discourage shows that go overtime.

and he also told me that axl was having a party back stage, while the people of Toronto were waiting for him, he was playing ping pong, and he wasn't gonna go on until he finished his game. "

I was tempted to go dressed as Buckethead :P wonder if they'd boot me out. Id nunchuka their asses :krider:

"It's amazing some of the stories that they push on Axl, people are obsessed at getting any bullshit story on him at any cost. I've just released a statement on a GNR fans board to say how that story about the roast dinner was completely untrue - I was with Axl all day and it was complete bullshit..." - Richard Fortus, July 2006.

Just add 'ping-pong' to the growing list...

You should pin this quote so that everybody read it and don´t forget it. ;)
