Fakes:
When it comes to Chinese Democracy, many fake tracks have been circulating on the internet. Peer2peer networks like Kazaa, Imesh or Emule have offered a lot of songs claiming to be a part of Chinese Democracy. However, none of these have been proven to be real! Many of these songs carry titles that were rumoured in magazines.
There are also old gnr songs that were never released. You can check the
Guns n' Roses (pre 1994) rare song guide for this. Some songs on the web are even songs by completely different bands, that are labelled to be Guns n’ Roses songs. There are others, however, that may sound very much like Guns n’ Roses. Our advice is: Never believe what you download! It’s fake until proven real! Once again it is also important to add that Oh My God is the ONLY studio song by the new band.
