That solo could easily be in a new GnR song.  He still has it and that one sounds great.  btw his album, this, Duff going on tour, looks like another long stretch of nothing from them as a band

Nightrain's outro solo was way shorter, tho. And it's one of my all time favorite Slash's solos, so I think I prefer the AFD even with the fade-out.

Only just seeing this, but maybe 'daddy' is 'the general'? The way he ruled over the person whose perspective the song is being sung from could be militaristic, so 'daddy' behaved more like a 'general' than a father. That's how I interpret it anyway

Meh, I liked it, but each to their own 🤷‍♂️ I'd much rather it get played by a band with Slash in it than not, especially given that GN'R won't touch it these days
