    • Axl/DC audio request
I have the Marseille one and it's pretty good
    • Axl's Letter To The RRHOF
This is rich coming from Axl considering his "work ethic" which consisted of going to the studio once a year or less sometimes during the Chinese Democracy era and missing innumerable rehearsals, sound checks, etc. "Working hard" in his mind means tinkering on pro tools and adding endless layers upon layers of synth, guitars, effects, etc. Slash has put out how many albums since 1995? How can anyone say that he doesn't have a great work ethic? The guy works tirelessly unlike the red head who wouldn't even allow them to play festivals in '95 when the band was falling apart despite Slash begging him to do it. Duff quit out of boredom since Axl was never showing up to the rehearsals. That whole Slash bit from his interview was pretty condescending. What I "think" he means is that Slash probably didn't want to "push" himself by playing new styles of music (grunge/techno industrial and/or whatever other shit was popular in the mid 90's) and Slash didn't care at all about pro-tools and digitally raping the music they were trying to create. Therefore, Slash is lazy in Axl's mind. Makes perfect sense really.
    • Gilby Clarke interview - 'I don't know if you can call this a reunion'
The idea of Slash not caring about Gilby just because they haven't been in a band together lately is ridiculous. GNR didn't fire Gilby, Axl did. Then he hired one of the worst guitar players in the whole world and that was the final straw for Slash, who quit. When Slash put SMKC together, he wanted a low profile band to tour in support of his solo album. Then the chemistry with those guys was great and it became a real band (well, sort of) but he originally thought of it as a solo project, so he obviously wasn't gonna call Gilby, nor Duff, Matt, Steven... In 2010 (I believe) Gilby had an accident with his motorcycle and Slash (who was touring with SMKC) called him to see how he was. He invited him to the HoF, shared the stage in Kings Of Chaos several times, had him opening for him last year in his South American tour. Of course Gilby isn't Slash's biggest friend but yeah, Slash definitely cares about the guy. Also, when Slash was inducted to the Walk Of Fame, some of his friends were there with him. Among them were Charlie Sheen, Myles Kennedy, the grooviest motherfucker on the planet AND... Gilby. I still believe Gilby's comment about the "reunion done right" including him was stupid but so is all the bullshit on this thread trying to sell the idea that he's a nobody and no one (band included) cares about him.
    • Is DON'T CRY underrated?
Whut?   It's one their popular songs among casual fans. Regardless the frequency of it being played,  it is up there with WTTJ,  SCOM and NR.
    • Axl's Letter To The RRHOF
I didn't really get that from it. My interpretation was Axl was saying Slash was glorifying the Slash/Duff/Izzy/Sorum stuff as a way of saying "we're better" and trying to make Axl look bad. Hyperbole and muckraking are classic politicking moves.  While Axl was indeed promoting NuGNR, he didn't ever compare that band or music to the old band or music. He usually steered clear from that IIRC. I do remember Merck and others saying that NuGNR was way better than old GNR but it was always management or the hangers on, not Axl.  Anyway, I'm past the point of giving a fuck. And everyone else should be too. Either release new music and treat your fans like humans or fuck off. That's my policy.
