That was Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell, a song in which Joni complains they 'Paved paradise to put up a parking lot', a measure which actually would have alleviated traffic congestion on the outskirts of paradise, something which Joni singularly fails to point out, perhaps because it doesn't quite fit in with her blinkered view of the world. Nevertheless, nice song.

Third Eye- from Tool's Aenema
Pantera's version of Planet Caravan to close out Far Beyond Driven. One of the most brutal albums ending with a nice stripped down, tripped out cover
Jane Doe- Converge
Midnight Cowboy on Faith No More's Angel Dust. Its not much in terms of a song but is so out of left field compared to the rest of the album that somehow it makes sense, especially when it involves Mike Patton
Joseph Merrick on Mastodon's Leviathan

Freedom - Rage Against The Machine (Rage Against The Machine)
Whole Lotta Rosie - AC/DC (Let There Be Rock)

Planet Caravan - Pantera - Far Beyond Driven
Coma - Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I - The climax ending if fucking badass
Soul Bleed - Damageplan - New Found Power - This tune is a song that give me goose bumps. Great way to end a great record.
There are others of course.

Technically there's a song after that but it's a bonus track that doesn't have anything to do with the story of the album.
It's a full album of heavy, beautiful minor songs and then for the last song they have a minor intro but then this wonderful happy guitar solo. It's quite surreal to finish a Death metal album (one of the most famous of all time) ona happy note but it works really well, you feel really uplifted after listening to the whole thing through.
GnR's Rocket queen basically sums up the whjole of Appetite perfectly.
Coheed and Cambria's "The Light and The Glass" also.
^Never seen that one used before :P I got there first!
