I personally think there were at least 2 other songs about to leak, but the guns camp got to him and gave him the ultimatum of either facing legal action, or to go along with this 'FBI story' - in hopes that it would serve as a scare tactic to prevent further leaks from occuring.

...interesting... I didn't think someone who had just been visited by the FBI and had their computer examined should be writing all about it the next day Personally, I would be a little paranoid at that point. I wonder what two songs would have leaked...?

IMO, I think the original "source" was aware that the 3 new demos would not be appearing on Chinese Democracy - and because of this, would not face the same repercussions that would be present had 2 actual Chinese Democracy songs turned up on the net. Especially, if those 2 tracks were thought of as 'Big Guns' by the band/label. The 9 leaks were something to kind of just test the waters, so to say. Again, jmo.

IMO, it is neither thought of as a 'big gun', nor do I personally think it will appear on 'Chinese Democracy'. At least, the first album.

If The World was on the setlist that appeared on gunsnroses.com in 06. Personally, I think it's the best New GnR song we've heard so far. The picture and article were quickly taken down though because Del James made the "faux pas" of insulting the internet fans. Who knows though when it comes to this album.

I have a feeling that Axl will make some sort of announcement about Shackler's Revenge this week. Perhaps the US network that's covering the Olympics will play snippets of the song as they cut to commercial breaks.

Speaking for myself, I'd love a version of Sorry without Baz. Even when the album is released it would be nice if somebody could make a version of the song with Baz's vocals cut out.

I also call bullshit here. People may get sued, get in trouble with the cops (just get a file sent to there house which they even can refuse to fill out because they don´t have to - they don´t have to get themself in trouble as long as they are the one that started that shit (and no witness).

People could go to court for something like that -copyright infrigment- but the F.B.I?

Aren´t they suppoed to "hunt down" `sami´ bin laden plus maybe the taliban as well (those that live in the U.S. and not Afghanistan) or at least rather investigate on "terrorism" and not hunt down G`n´R leakers and/or their asociates (i.e. forum members, et cetera).
