Things are looking very promising. If Chinese Democracy can hit #1, then that will open up A LOT of doors for the new band.

Great to know stations are giving it play! I woke up at 6:40am Monday to CHINESE DEMOCRACY playing on 96.9 FM The Eagle (Sacramento's classic rock station), and it was played once on 98.5 FM 98 Rock (Sacramento's hard rock), and those are the only two times I've heard it. The DJs gave pretty positive reviews.

crap. impressive! especially considering i heard the damn new ac/dc song 3 times in my 4 trips in my car today and not once gnr :(

i know tell me about it, same thing here, even though ac/dc is pretty good, CD is going to explode, i just have this feeling as it is released its gonna be like a fuckin tidal wave.

yep...just til the moment when people realize that there is no slash on the album+songs like if the world, rhiad, shackler, prostitute

its just the band name which causes this effect...not the music

You can't be fucking serious... I think that when people realize Slash isn't on the album they will be surprised but amazed to realize what Axl & co. can do without him. Not everyone clings to the past you know. I don't have anything against Slash - I think he's very talented and a great guy but more than anyone, it was (and still is) Axl that truly defines GN'R.

No, the new CD doesn't sound like the original band but what law says it should? I think if anything, it'll be a huge hit precisely because it'll appeal to an even wider audience.

the more i listen to CD, the more i enjoy it and respect it more. it's a pretty bad ass song. i'm even starting to love the layered voices in cd and shacklers.

UGH. My struggle with getting CountdownToChineseDemocracy.com reported on Blabbermouth. Please, if you're a fan, and you just like seeing as much GN'R coverage in the media as possible: Please PLEASE send an email to BMouth@Bellatlantic.net, asking them to post CountdownToChineseDemocracy.com on Blabbermouth. Motherfuckin' Mike from Sharkys will be eternally grateful to you. Probably even let you crash at my place in Detroit (a beautiful, safe, high-rise that overlooks downtown Canada [AMAZING VIEW] in the business district.. and a less than a 2 minute walk to the Casinos and Greektown) if you're passing through.

It feels as if there is zero interest in my area. They barely play the song. in the last 48 hours they have played it 3 times (including a 4:15am slot) compared to like the first 48 hours which was like 20 or so times. The no Slash and Duff is a big hurdle to climb and Axl's dictaroship and recluse behavior over the years is tuff for people to forget. The backlash against this may be more significant than we may think. Axl himself needs to be doing appearances... himself promoting this thing if not no one will pay attention....people are more interested in the myth and the man than his music...only Axl can sell this.
