Is it safe to say that Axl has destroyed the GnR name??

Poll: yes or no (199 member(s) have cast votes)

With Chinese Dem being a flop, is it official now that Axl has dragged the GnR name through the mud?

Axl is just what Guns N' Roses grew to.
It's just how it is.
You think Axl, you think Guns N' Roses.
Straight up, no debate needed Guns N' Roses.
It's the way it goes.
What ever happened, it's just what pure Guns N' Roses grew in to, Chinese Democracy and Axl Rose, that is Guns N' Roses in 2009.

3 million copies, before an attempt at PR isn't the worst thing in the world. Especially given the mixed reviews.

No; I think Chinese Democracy is a great album, and my definition of "killing" a band name is what Tony Iommi did to Black Sabbath.

well after reading his "homework assignment" i feel like he had the right to use the name, and he did it justice, too. chinese Democracy is as good as TSI, or GNR Lies, and in my opinion better than each of the USI if they are treated as seperate, however when looked at as a double album they are better. AFD, on the other hand, is just in a league of its own

Saying it's as good as TSI and Lies isn't saying much, in my opinion. You're comparing to a cover album and an album that was half covers. The Illusions as a whole and individually are better, imo.

People make it sound like they were these insane lunatics trying to harm people they were 5 guys have a good time playing great music.

If anyone's destroying their name it's Adler and Slash(I'm waiting for the Slash coffin and condoms)
