Hey, Ron. I've followed this website (and many others) ever since "The Spaghetti Incident" was released. I hate to admit to the other posters on this forum that I have just been a "watcher." This will actually be my initial post.

GN'R has meant so much to me over the years and it would take way, way too many pages to explains my reasons.

Yes, I love previous members playing on "Appetite" and "Illusions." However, you have really piqued my interest since joining Guns N' Roses and I think your contributions to the long.....long awaited "Chinese Democracy" are outstanding.

Correct me if I'm wrong on your parts, but I think the slinky, sleazy guitar you added to the title track made it all the more better. Also, the solo to "Shackler's Revenge" is, in my opinion, downright f'n awesome. And I think that's you on the outro to "Cather in the Rye."

Sorry for being so long-winded... I think you are a great addition to GN'R and would just like to know what your favorite guitar addition was to the (probably mostly recorded) "Chinese Democracy."

Hey Ron..

Just wonderin, i know you thought "simple days" would sound kickass if gn'r were to do a version. Have you brought any songs to the band for future guns albums ? or has most songs already been written and ull just add your guitar on the tracks?

Yo Bumblefoot,

I recently started listening to your solo work and I really enjoy it. Really like "Real", especially the changes in the bpm during the song (or so it seems)

Being a guitarist, I wonder, considering how technically versatile you are, whether you see enough challenges in the GNR (past and future) catalogue.

In the end, most songs are bluesrock-based which might not be the most difficult to play. Perhaps the same problem holds for Richard?

I hope to see you guys soon in Europe,

greetings,

Ben

Good day Ron.

First, I'd like to say you are a great addition to the band, very happy you were chosen. Ok, so here's the Q. You were doing the instrumental version of Don't Cry in the live shows...until that one fateful night when Axl decided to start singing along. Was this planned, or were you just as surprised as the rest of us?? The rest of the band seemed to stumble in at that point, also surprised by the sudden vocals. Very touching moment, RIP Shannon.

Hey Ron, I thought I'd ask something that has probably been on a lot of Bumble-fans' minds with the talk of the new album, whenever it comes out :)
What will your role be on the album? Is it more lead-orientated? Did you personally write any songs? I was personally disappointed there wasn't more Bumble on my CD :krider:

Was great meeting you at Chappell of Bond Street, thanks Ron :)

How are you gonna go about playing Bucket`s parts live - will you do your own thing or will you try to replicate his solos?
I still want them to bring back Bucket and Finck

Thanks for the sig, God's Favourite
Izzy on leaving Guns N' Roses: I knew deep inside that it didn`t feel right. I didn`t understand any more what was happening or what direction it was taking.

How did you feel when you were asked to join GN'R?

Were you scared, excited etc?

Thanks for the great album and tours!

Look forward to many more good times!

Hi Ron

What inspires you most as a musician? The Shackler's Revenge solo is awesome.

Ps: I ate some quiche the other day and it made me think of you!

Hey there Bumblefoot!
I’d like to know if you ever imagined being part of one of the world’s most famous bands when you first heard about Guns N’ Roses.

What went through your head when you got the invitation to be part of Guns N’ Roses and take up the responsibility for Chinese Democracy, an album that had been in the works for so long?

Anyway, thank you very much for all your support towards Guns N’ Roses and for your contribution to this great album.
Keep Rocking man!

Hey there, I’m a great fan of yours and the band. I’ve been learning to play the songs from CD using my epiphone les paul special plus. But I have plans on selling the guitar soon to buy a better one. I decided on an ESP/LTD baritone Viper. But I’m afraid that with lower tuning (B/E/A/D/F#/B) I’ll lose some treble notes that are required to perform the solos from GnR.
And I wanted to know, from a real pro, if it’s safe to tune it back to EADGBE (the same tuning of the normal guitar, not an octave lower that is commonly seen on a baritone) without snapping the strings or damaging the neck. Then I will be able to play the entire song.
I have various reasons for choosing that guitar such as the larger (and more comfortable) scale/neck, the heavier sound and the amazing active emg 81/85 set (not to mention the mahogany body and set-neck configuration).
I’d really appreciate your opinion on this purchase/trade.

Thanks for your time, Christian. (Shooting Star’s brother).
PS. I’m really looking forward for a show, got any plans?
